Denise Quade DesignBases cabinets will all drawers offer ease and storage for this homeowner. Drawers are easier to use than rollouts because it's one step (opening the drawer) and in, instead of the two steps it takes to use a rollout (opening the door or doors and then pulling out the rollout). A small microwave with a hanging kit was built into the wall cabinets. It's surrounded by medium stained maple cabinets and looks built in without the bulky trim kit. Hanging the microwave keeps it at eye level, gets it off the countertop, and looks more custom.
Pinnacle Design & RemodelingLong-time clients called us (Landmark Remodeling and PID) back to tackle their kitchen and subsequently the remainder of the main floor. We had worked away over the last 5 years doing smaller projects, knowing one day they would pull the trigger on their kitchen space.
After two small boys and working from home through the pandemic, they decided it was time to tear down the wall separating the kitchen and formal dining room and make one large kitchen for their busy, growing family.
We proposed a few layout options and when they chose the one with a 14 foot island we were so excited!

Tracy Berman InteriorsThis kitchen was your typical builder basic design. Lot's of cabinets with no thought for function. An odd shaped island that took up space, but didn't provide much storage. We straightened out the island to create more storage and loads of function. It now has the sink, dishwasher, trash center, bookcase, mixer cabinet and microwave drawer plus more! We removed the wall double ovens and added a 48" range instead. This allowed us to flank either side of the fridge with roll out pantry cabinets. An appliance garage was added to the corner. The range has a custom hood over it that blends seamlessly with the cabinets. The client needed a space to sit and check the mail so we created an office space at the end of the wall. Behind the blinds is a new 10' slider for access to the patio. Luxury vinyl plank flooring went in throughout the house. Custom pendant lights were hung in clusters of three above the island. The kitchen was painted Accessible Beige by SW.

This lovely, updated kitchen, is the outcome of our team, working hard, through all the Covid protocols, many challenges popped up, due supply chain issues, yet we were still able able to redesign and rebuild this kitchen to fit with the personality, and stately era of the home.

Reynolds Design and RemodelingA powder room and closet were removed to create space for this kitchen. The kitchen shifted to include the space that was added from the rooms that were removed and the former dinette area in the kitchen became the back entry and the new upstairs laundry room. The home had original walnut paneling and matching that paneling was paramount. The kitchen also had a lowered ceiling that needed to blend into the raised ceiling in the family room and dining room. The floating soffit was built to create a design feature out of a design limitation. The cabinets are full of interior features to aid in efficiency. Removing most of the wall cabinets required additional storage which was achieved by adding the two large pantry cabinets where a door to the hall was previously located. The island is raised by 3" to accommodate the clients' request without having to customize all of the base cabinets and create a platform for the range, which are always standard in height.
J&J Carpet One Floor & HomeFor the countertops, she selected a light sand colored Quart Countertop in Cloud Nine from Pompeii Quartz. For the backsplash, a travertine and glass mosaic in Promise from Bedrosians was installed vertically and adds a subtle and classy pop of color.

A Moen Align Spring single handle pull down spring faucet in Spot Resist Stainless and 18” brushed nickel towel bars and Ledge stainless steel sink with bottom sink grid, roll out grid, and bamboo cutting board. The flooring is a mixture of Permastone 16”x16” Indian Slate, Canyon and Verde flooring.

Upper cabinets and wall paint were done in a creamy white paint to lighten the space. Rustic wood cabinets create texture and a connection to nature. Craftsman hardware and a black hood modernize this bungalow while natural colored ceramics like the backsplash tile and pendant lights bring the boho vibe. Adornments are all plants in this Biophilic design.

Client Brief: To create a classic-modern design using Inframe Shaker cabinetry in a combination of rich, contrasting colours to provide definition to the Island and tall furniture.
Inframe shaker cabinetry finished in Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone to the main kitchen L and Hague Blue to the Island and pantry and tall furniture. Completed with chrome handles and exposed butt hinges detailing.

CRC Builders, Inc.Among the new surfaces are shaker style cherry cabinets with a clear finish, soft closing doors & drawers, and furniture grade domestic maple interiors. The cabinetry was trimmed and carefully installed by our CRC artisans and made by Signature Cabinetry & Design. The countertops are a gorgeous cut of Crema Bordeaux granite slab, fabricated and installed by Marble Fino. The appliances are beautiful KitchenAid stainless steel models the homeowner purchased from Pearson's Appliance, and installed by us.

You too can have the look of hardwood without the drawbacks of wood products in wet and high traffic areas.
Lighting in the kitchen was enhanced by LED ceiling can lights and under cabinet LED strip lights. Notice there are no visible outlets interrupting the backsplash. We tucked outlets under the upper cabinets giving plenty of power where the homeowner needs it without the outlets being visible. Little details make a big difference.
