Another review started with "5 stars aren't enough", and we have to agree that this really sums up the experience of working with Vincent Troy and Troy Construction, as we believe a statement like this is only warranted when your expectations have been significantly exceeded, which ours were in all aspects pertaining to the construction project involving our home. Our project wrapped up in Feb 2021 and, while we expected to have this review up sooner, this has given us time to evaluate the experience with some additional perspective and reflect on the enormity of what Vin was able to accomplish in building a home that is beyond what we imagined. We met Vin towards the end of 2019 and not only immediately got along very well with him but also recognized the expertise, skillset, dedication, ethics and experience he brought to the table. Ultimately, all of these personal qualities would become critically important as we maneuvered through the pre-contractual process and then signed our contract in early March 2020, a couple of weeks before everything shut down due to the pandemic. Having initially planned to start at the end of March 2020, we actually got underway in the 1st half of June and, from then on and throughout the project, all of those previously mentioned attributes were acutely important to every step of the process. Our project was a substantial renovation of an existing home, preserving a small percentage of the 1st floor and completely tearing down and replacing the rest of the house and adding an entirely new 2nd floor, essentially doubling the total square footage. The project was ambitious in its scope and scale by design, but the challenge of completing it was compounded unpredictably in seemingly every way imaginable by the pandemic, which created obstacles, disruptions, delays, etc at every turn. And, while critically important anyway, it was these very challenges that made the previously mentioned attributes that Vincent personally brings to the table essential. It's still surprising to us that, even with the challenges and the several changes we ourselves introduced (added a bathroom, moved a mechanical room, infrastructure and cosmetic enhancements, etc), Vin was able to get us back in our home within the original timeframe from our revised start date and complete the project on budget, all while very clearly not cutting any corners in the process. To us, this is astounding and to deliver a home that our family loves and truly enjoys living in in the process is a real achievement. Furthermore, I cannot thank Vin and the team of professionals he brings to the table enough for the respect they showed our family and neighbors throughout the project, treating our home, the job site, street and our neighbors with respect while clearly doing their best to minimize disruptions and not create inconvenience. We love and appreciate our house every day and are grateful to have worked with Vincent Troy and Troy Construction.

5 stars aren’t enough stars. I didn’t know where my life was taking me/us when I picked up the phone to call Vin. I didn’t even know if he’d pick up. I also didn’t know what I was going to do next if he didn’t pick up. In November 2019 our home; the only one we’ve ever owned, the one where we raise our child had a fire. Relatively small fire, but disruptive and displacing nonetheless. Everyone was safe and sound, thankfully. Upon picking up the phone and hearing Vinny’s voice I immediately started to feel better. He really operates a full service company. From scheduling and handling paperwork, permits, inspections - all of it. My wife and I ended up settling on main theme type ideas, and he really helped it come to life - adding suggestions here and there, warning of us common pitfalls and mistakes to avoid along the way. Down to the millimeter - we have a truly bespoke custom kitchen that impresses and garners compliments whenever people see it. He didn’t just do our kitchen - he did other work, too. But the bulk of the project was our kitchen. It’s funny seeing a new couple walk into our home for the first time. A husband looks one direction, a wife in another direction - and they both extend arms at or around the same time to get the others attention to say “check out the stairs/wood beams/barn door/(whatever catches their eyes)”. If you’re considering Vinny for a home project or complete home build I can assure you of this - you’re in overwhelmingly capable, careful, and experienced hands. I cannot recommend working with Troy Construction enough. Things you can’t see in the photo: we wanted shelving to the right behind that wall. Vin mentioned to us that where we wanted them, it might limit walking space a bit. He created custom triangular shelves that are cleated in and show no mounting points. Our wine rack integrated into the island was custom made, and so was our dining table chandelier. We found the light fixtures, he custom made a beautiful mount that attached to the ceiling. The wood beams you see have LED up lighting (those are the only lights on in the photo). And the trim around the stovetop fan is also custom and hand made by Vin. Again, I’d give 10 stars if I could, but being the mere mortal that I am, I’m only currently allowed 5. But do consider this a 10 star review.

Our experience with Vinny Troy and Troy Construction was really amazing! We did a tear-down, rebuild in Wappingers Falls and Troy Construction finished on budget, ahead of schedule and with beautiful craftsmanship. We truly love our home. One of the best things about working with Vinny is his professional group of high quality vendors, along with his eye for design. 12 years ago we used Troy Construction Company to gut out our entire kitchen and install the kitchen of our dreams. From the design process to the installation, everything was perfect! They were very considerate of the fact that we had 3 young children at the time. They kept the area closed off, clean and finished the project in the time frame we had agreed on. That is why when it came time to take down the old deck and construct a new one to complement our new pool we knew we had to call Vinny. He sat down with us, listened to what we were looking to accomplish and then he delivered! If you are looking for a professional, who pays attention to every detail, is meticulous, reliable and meets deadlines you need to call Troy Construction! Just over six years ago we hired Vince to build our home in Riverside. He did an excellent job on a challenging property. The craftsmanship was perfect. He brought it in on time despite unexpected issues and on budget.

After using him about 10 years ago for our 3 bathrooms, we decided to totally redesign our kitchen to not only update the room but to create a more usable living space. He spent many hours listening to what we wanted to achieve and translating those ideas into plans. He also created custom cabinets and a huge island for us using materials that he recommended for our lifestyle and tastes. Highly recommend - will be using again!
