We custom made all of the kitchen cabinetry and shelving. The kitchen was a small area so maximizing usable space with function and design was crucial.
The transitional design features a pantry wall with the Sub Zero all glass door refrigerator and oven cabinet centered and equal size pantry cabinets to either side with 3 large storage drawers below and rollout shelves and work surfaces behind the door cabinets above in each with a hidden walk-in pantry door next to the Sub Zero. The cabinets on the range wall all have large storage drawers with wood organizers in the top drawer for spices and utensils. The client also wanted floating shelves to either side of the steel hood which were made from re-sawn maple to look like cut pieces from an old beam, each shelf is lit from the underside with LED flush mounted puck lights.
The island was our biggest challenge. It needed to house several appliances of different size, a farmhouse sink and be able to have function from all 4 sides and still have room for seating space on the backside. The sink side has the farmhouse sink centered with storage drawers to the right that feature wood organizers and a double middle drawer to help hold all the small utensils and still maintain the 3 drawer look from the front view that matches the integrated dishwasher to the left. The right side contains both the integrated soft close trash unit and an icemaker with a third false panel door to maintain the size balance for all three. The left side houses the Sub Zero undercounter freezer. I wanted the face to look like six equal sized drawers, which left the integrated drawer fronts for the freezer overlapping the side panel for the dishwasher. The back of the island has storage tucked up under the seating space. The quartz countertop meets up against the maple butcher block to create a stunning island top. All in all the end result of this kitchen is a beautiful space with wonderful function.

Erin HoopesThis whole house renovation done by Harry Braswell Inc. used Virginia Kitchen's design services (Erin Hoopes) and materials for the bathrooms, laundry and kitchens. The custom millwork was done to replicate the look of the cabinetry in the open concept family room. This completely custom renovation was eco-friend and is obtaining leed certification.

Metre Squared ArchitectureThe unsual setting of the property on a hill in Kingston, along with tricky planning considerations, meant that we had to achieve a space split into different floor levels and with an irregular shape. This allowed us to create diverse spaces inside and out maximizing the natural light ingress on the east and south whilst optimizing the connection between internal and external areas. Vaulted ceilings, crisp finishes, minimalistic lines, modern windows and doors, and a sharp composite cladding resulted in an elegant, airy, and well-lighted dream home.

For this contemporary kitchen project in Beckenham, the client wanted a combination of modern design elements and state-of-the-art appliances to create a highly functional and visually appealing space.
Our design Choices
This kitchen features the Pronorm Y-Line range in Pebble Grey Lacquer, presenting a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. Meanwhile, the central island in Dark Steel finish adds a touch of sophistication.
Worktop and Appliances
The Artscut Calacatta Royal Gold Quartz worktops and matching full-height splashback add a touch of luxury to the space. Siemens appliances, known for their advanced technology, contribute to the kitchen's functionality and modern appeal. Including a Franke sink and Quooker tap enhances the efficiency and convenience of daily kitchen tasks.
Special Features
The focal point of this kitchen is the island, complete with a sink, which is centrally positioned and serves as a multifunctional workspace and a focal point for socialising. Pendant lights suspended above the island add brightness and contribute to the overall ambience. Clever storage solutions are also integrated throughout the kitchen, ensuring that every inch of the space is utilised.

Higham FurnitureWith its painted shaker-style cabinets featuring our bespoke inset handles, this kitchen is a visual delight. The island stands out in a captivating dark green tone (Pompeian Ash by Little Greene) while the main cabinetry is graced with a lighter shade (Little Greene's Slaked Lime Deep). Embracing functionality, the pantry to the right of the kitchen is a storage haven, ensuring a tidy kitchen by concealing any chaos.
Pruett & Co.In this remodel we painted the existing perimeter cabinets a soft sea salt color and built a new island that included a cozy banquette that faces the gorgeous view of the Flatirons.
Plain & PoshThese homeowners were ready to update the home they had built when their girls were young. This was not a full gut remodel. The perimeter cabinetry mostly stayed but got new doors and height added at the top. The island and tall wood stained cabinet to the left of the sink are new and custom built and I hand-drew the design of the new range hood. The beautiful reeded detail came from our idea to add this special element to the new island and cabinetry. Bringing it over to the hood just tied everything together. We were so in love with this stunning Quartzite we chose for the countertops we wanted to feature it further in a custom apron-front sink. We were in love with the look of Zellige tile and it seemed like the perfect space to use it in.
Ridgeway InteriorsWe have perfectly combined luxury and functionality in our latest project to create a kitchen that’s sure to impress. We’ve used a Nobilia kitchen, renowned for its high quality and exceptional design, and paired it with a stunning Dekton Laurent worktop.
Inspired by the natural stone Port Laurent, this worktop features a dramatic dark brown background crisscrossed with veins of gold, making it a truly unique and eye-catching addition to any kitchen.
To create a warm and inviting atmosphere, we’ve used earth tones like wood throughout the kitchen, adding a touch of natural beauty and perfectly complementing the worktop. We’ve also incorporated handleless cabinetry to create a sleek and modern look, which allows the stunning worktop to take centre stage.
One of the standout features of this kitchen is the Bora hob, which is seamlessly integrated into the worktop, creating a streamlined and minimalist look. We’ve also included a large glass door opening to the outside, which floods the space with natural light and creates a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience.
To top it off, we’ve included a separate room for wine storage, adding extra luxury and sophistication. And to add a touch of drama, we’ve included some peculiar pendant lighting, which really sets the tone and creates a stunning visual impact.

H. Miller BrosSet within an airy contemporary extension to a lovely Georgian home, the Siatama Kitchen is our most ambitious project to date. The client, a master cook who taught English in Siatama, Japan, wanted a space that spliced together her love of Japanese detailing with a sophisticated Scandinavian approach to wood.
At the centre of the deisgn is a large island, made in solid british elm, and topped with a set of lined drawers for utensils, cutlery and chefs knifes. The 4-post legs of the island conform to the 寸 (pronounced ‘sun’), an ancient Japanese measurement equal to 3cm. An undulating chevron detail articulates the lower drawers in the island, and an open-framed end, with wood worktop, provides a space for casual dining and homework.
A full height pantry, with sliding doors with diagonally-wired glass, and an integrated american-style fridge freezer, give acres of storage space and allow for clutter to be shut away. A plant shelf above the pantry brings the space to life, making the most of the high ceilings and light in this lovely room.
