Browne and Associates Custom LandscapesThis Hilltop front yard in the Denver Area was constructed in 2012. The existing "builder" landscape" completely failed at dressing up the front of this deserving house. Clients wanted a clever entryway that was more than a simple walkway. The front planter contains "changeable" features that transition with the seasons. During the holiday season, the brick planter is decorated with a Christmas theme.

This is a Pro Dunk Gold Basketball System that was purchased in October of 2011. It was installed on a 47 ft wide by a 29 ft deep playing area in Naperville, IL. The Ardent Gardener Landscape DesignA significant back garden remodel in North Ogden, Utah. Local sandstone ties a big project together, with blond sandstone garden walls, patio, bridges, fireplace, fire pit and patio. Concrete patios have stone ribbons. Pushing back brambles and capturing groundwater allowed this space to triple in size. It's now a parklike setting providing a serene retreat for this family. Bronze scuppers built into a stone garden wall make for a unique water feature, and is visible from most parts of the garden and the back of the home. Fireplace separates two outdoor spaces, creating 'rooms'. Lush planting complete the picture.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignLagoon-side property in the Bel Marin Keys, Novato, CA. Entertaining and enjoying the views were a primary design goal for this project. The project includes a large camaru deck with built-in seating. The concrete steps and pavers lead down to the water's edge. I included a sunken patio on one side and a beautiful Buddha statue on the other, surrounded by succulents and other low-water, contemporary plantings. I also used Dymondia ground cover to create a natural pathways within the garden. Featured plants: Achillea 'Coronation Gold (Yarrow), Euphorbia 'Blackbird', Lavenders, Lion's Tail and Penstemon heterophyllus.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignLovely plant combination of Loropetalum and Coleonema (Breath of Heaven). These are two great plant combinations that don't need a lot of water and provide nice leaf color and textures throughout the seasons. Located in a Sleepy Hollow/San Anselmo garden in northern California. Other plants n this garden include Phormiums, native Penstemon, Snow in Summer, Lambs Ears and other colorful plants that create a beautiful low-water tapestry of groupings. London Garden DesignerThe clients of this Highgate Garden contacted London Garden Designer in Dec 2011, after seeing some of my work in House and Garden Magazine. They had recently moved into the house and were keen to have the garden ready for summer. The brief was fairly open, although one specific request was for a Garden Lodge to be used as a Gym and art room. This was something that would require planning permission so I set this in motion whilst I got on with designing the rest of the garden. The ground floor of the house opened out onto a deck that was one metre from the lawn level, and felt quite exposed to the surrounding neighbours. The garden also sloped across its width by about 1.5 m, so I needed to incorporate this into the design.

Partridge Fine Landscapes Ltd.With the goal of enhancing the connection between interior and exterior, backyard and side yard, and natural and man-made features, Partridge Fine Landscapes Ltd. drew on nature for inspiration. We worked around one of Oakville’s largest oak trees introducing curved braces and sculpted ends to an organic patio enhanced with wild bed lines tamed by a flagstone mowing strip. The result is a subtle layering of elements where each element effortlessly blends into the next. Linear structures bordered by manicured lawn and carefully planned perennials delineate the start of a dynamic and unbridled space. Pathways casually direct your steps to and from the pool area while the gentle murmur of the waterfall enhances the pervading peace of this outdoor sanctuary.
