With Cast Iron Fire Pits to warm you in the cooler months and a Vine Covered Mesh Roof to shade you in the warmer months, this unique and functional space can be enjoyed all year round. The one of a kind Repurposed Glass Bottle Lights, Recycled Brick Walls, Tree Log Fencing, Sandstone Logs and bespoke Timber Furniture create a relaxed and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The placement and flow of each area and plentiful seating within the Beer Garden, makes the perfect setting to entertain or simply savour relaxing outdoors.
The Hardwood Timber sourced for the Arbours are over 40 years old and were handpicked for the Project. Our plant selection softens the Sandstone, Recycled Bricks and Concrete Gravel and reinforces the fusion of a traditional English Beer Garden and the serenity of the Blue Mountains surrounds.

Thrive Landscape And DesignWe designed this informal, Asian inspired Zen garden with curved gravel paths, sitting areas with a fire pit, bamboo, and Japanese red maple. Their back yard was too shady to grow good grass so we made a great hang out space for them. Cutters Landscaping installed this project.

Native Edge LandscapeThese homeowners were looking to up their hosting game by modernizing their property to create the ultimate entertainment space. A custom outdoor kitchen was added with a top of the line Delta Heat grill and a special nook for a Big Green Egg. Flagstone was added to create asymmetrical walkways throughout the yard that extended into a ring around the fire pit. Four rectangular trellises were added along the fence and shed, with an all metal pergola located at the back of the pool. This unique structure immediately draws the eye and adds a playful, artistic element to the rest of the space. The use of various sized rocks, gravel, and flagstone give a rough texture that creates a symbiosis with the metalwork. Silver Falls Dichondra creates a beautiful contrast to the rocks and can be found all over the property along with various other grasses, ferns, and agave. A large area of gravel rests on the side of the house, giving the client room to park a recreational vehicle. In front, a privacy fence was added along one of the property lines, leading into a drought resistant, eco-friendly section of yard. This fence, coupled with a giant boulder, doubles as a safety precaution in case drivers miss the turn and run into their lawn. This updated landscaping adds an effortless flow for guests to move from the front yard to the back while creating a very open, welcoming feel to all who enter.
Mark S. Garff, Landscape ArchitectA Mercer Island couple wanted to transform their yard from mushy lawn into a more usable, beach-like space. We added new concrete pads to connect the stairs to the waterfront complete with salvaged, cedar logs around a deconstructed wood-burning firepit, invigorating the space and creating a place to relax and entertain right on the water. Closer to the house, an ipe deck built around a new Paloform gas firepit created a new outdoor room for enjoying endless summer evenings. LED landscape lighting completes the improvements.

Living Gardens Landscape DesignOur homeowner was looking for a garden that she could entertain in, but that was also safe for her young grandson. We built a patio cover for dining, a lounging area with a gas burning firepit, and created a sandy beach play area complete with shells, pebbles, and a hummingbird water spout for making sand castles. Newly planted, these plants still need to grown in. We used pea gravel for the main area, natural washed concrete for the pathways, and Mexican beach pebbles between the concrete pads.
