Vintage CellarsWelcome to this modern / contemporary masterpiece of a wine cellar in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California. This wine room boasts backlit metal panels with metal pegs and cradles, all fully visible through floor to ceiling glass doors and windows. The aesthetic of glass and metal is accentuated by the homeowner's style - modern, chic and clean as can be. Contemporary wine cellars such as this beauty have become all the rage, as they work both functionally and as a major centerpoint in any home to show off your favorite bottles and labels.
This mid-sized custom wine cellar was created by Wine Cellar Builders Vintage Cellars, out of San Diego, California. The wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars worked closely with this home owner to design and build a wine storage space with a very specific design and style in mind. 500 wine bottle capacity, Sleek clean lines, back lighting to make everything pop to the eye, and maximizing glass for a unique and seamless look. The smooth ceramic grey tile throughout the living room matches the metal panels and wine racks beautifully.
Each panel holds a varying amount of wine bottles, storing them horizontally and and at proper angles to ensure that each cork is kept wet. Vintage Cellars understands not only the design, build, and install processes, but we ourselves are also wine collectors at the end of the day. Bath BespokeView of the wine wall which was designed to hold and display 128 bottles of wine! The glazed doors on either side of the wine wall were crafted from Accoya wood and finished in house with Farrow & Ball Railings, while the cabinets were made from walnut. Once crafted, the central carcasses were fitted with a series of solid brass bars—slotted in by hand. This complemented the brass inlay which was inserted throughout the panels.
To finish off this centrepiece, an antique mirror effect wallpaper was fitted on the back wall to create a sense of opulence and to reflect light around the room. This beautifully complimented the stunning Nero Marquina stone worktop and the Armac Martin solid brass handles on the doors.

The room is filled with a combination of individual bottle racking, display racks, storage cubes, work surfaces and slide out shelves for case racks, all of which are made from solid oak. The wine cellar in total can store over 2500 bottles.

Vinomagna Wine CellarsThis luxury wine storage display was an alternative option for what was in this case, going to be a kitchen pantry. Overall this is a luxurious, bright showpiece that is within what was only a 4m2 footprint. The joinery finish in this display is a sprayed off-white finish therefore giving the space a more open feel. Floor to ceiling double glazing within a black aluminium door frame that ensures an airtight seal. The large center opening door has a custom door handle that sits directly on the glass. The overhead bulkhead has a reflective mirrored acrylic cladding finish. This conceals the refrigeration cooling system sat behind the air diffuser grill.
Sprayed moisture-resistant joinery
The internal core of the timber is a moisture-resistant fibreboard. This luxury wine storage comes down to an internal temperature of 6°C. Under those circumstances, the joinery longevity is essential in the cold and damp environment. Eventually, natural untreated timber will contract and deform in a cold and damp wine cellar.
With this in mind, the selected paint finish is also fortified with a waterproofing lacquer to further prevent ingress water.
