This is exactly the case with this custom wine cellar in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. Sweeping Glass fronts make this wine room visible and noticed from every angle within the main living area in this home. Right off of the main dining room, this custom cellar exudes elegance, adding a modern and contemporary touch to this otherwise traditional style home.
The upper section includes metal wine racking / metal wine racks with triple depth, showcasing each bottle horizontally so that your favorite labels are front and center.
Directly below lies a sweeping high reveal angled display of the most prized vintages, shown off with LED lighting within. This raw oak wine racking melds perfectly with the mixed colors of beiges and browns within the wooden flooring.
Finishing underneath with a traditional diamond bin design, this wine cellar melds the old with the new, the time honored with the cutting edge - the traditional with the modern. Because of this, the recessed cooling system in the back portion of the cellar has been oversized a touch, to ensure that this wine cellar / wine room / wine closet / under the stairs wine cellar / glass wine cellar / custom wine cellar continues to maintain a constant 55 degree temperature and proper relative humidity.

The client wanted some easy access wine storage under the stairs, we provided a combination of individual bottle racking and storage cubes made from solid oak. The area in total is now home to over 250 bottles of wine.

Blue Grouse Wine CellarsThis wine cellar project was a complete renovation of an existing room which included building a barrel ceiling, installing slate tile flooring, insulation and vapour barrier of all walls/ceiling and modular wood racking installation.
