A Storied Past - Manley Residence
Every once in a while you get an interesting request. Ann & Scott's master bedroom contained more than a few. First she called me up one evening and asked if I had seen a certain episode of a particular television program. Sadly, I hadn't, but it became my quest to track it down because in it contained the exact style of bed she wanted. I designed the iron headboard to accommodate her. Then she had a collection of quilts but preferred to show them instead of use them, so we dressed the bed with elk, a gift from another friend. Finally, ever industrious, Ann arranged for her chair and ottoman to receive the bold new upholstery just in time to have a rogue ember from a candle flame burn a hole in the top of the ottoman. No matter. A strong black X embroidered over it marks the spot with taste and wit.
