Thanks. This floor looks beautiful in the photo. So many questions....how would you clean it to keep it so shiny? Does the sealing give the concrete the variations of color that show in the photo. Would the hardness of concrete make it uncomfortable to stand on for a long time? Does the shine make it slippery? Is this the same process used for concrete countertops?
Thanks for these questions. As a hard surface, it has a different feel than carpet or wood, and is similar to tile. Not, in our estimation, uncomfortable. The slip coefficient depends on the level of finish, but again, is similar to tile. Concrete countertop are a different process altogether. Those are poured in a mould and set. This slab was already in the old house, so we just sanded and stained it in place.
