So my wife called me freaking out that our roof was leaking and I was all the way in North Dakota, so I had her call a roofing contractor and get a few quotes. We ended up going with checkmate roofing who was able to pencil us in their schedule quickly and repair and replace our skylight that was leaking. I'm happy with the price and my wife isnt freaking out anymore so I'm very happy.”

“Price and work was excellent for roofing -highly recommended for that. NOT recommended for gutters. We thought we were getting a roofing AND gutter company, so we would have a seamless contractor experience from roof to gutters. Wrong. They don't manufacture or install gutters at all; just subcontract out to someone else. When we had a problem with the gutter install, they would not help or stand behind the product, even though they were the ones we wrote the check to "We aren't gutter people" they said on the phone. -they didn't have a problem cashing my check for those gutters, though. Oh, our problem was, BTW, that our gutters were installed without fascia boards, when we had fascia type gutters prior. We weren't told that the new ones going up wouldn't cover the roof eaves, leaving them hanging out looking horrible and unfinished. Gutter company offered to come out and add fascia boards for an additional cost after the fact. This all added up to more $ than the competition, more headache & hassle. We were done with them, & declined them coming out again (it would have gone over our budget) & are left with ugly gutters. Again, great for roof. Very happy with our choice there. -But get gutters straight from gutter people.”
