“My wife and I retained Down Under Faux to do the paintwork portion of a very extensive restoration of a Stanford White-designed carriage house in upstate New York. We were delighted with the results and can't say enough good things. Muriel Norman is quite exceptional. She's an artisan in the traditional sense. Those hands work real magic. The detail work is superb. From a client's perspective you're not fighting with an ego; you're working with a partner. Words that come to mind to describe her - responsive, listens well, thoughtful, constructive, creative, punctual. Her work-rate is prodigious and she's extremely versatile, setting her talents to challenges beyond the job at hand. If you want to decorate your house in a way that makes you smile every time you turn on the light, you need Down Under Faux. But, get in line. We're hoping that Muriel can shortly work some of her magic for us in a small mews house in Marylebone, England.”

“Wendy Van Buren has acted as a color consultant, painter, cabinet refinisher and plasterer for my historic home. She has performed miracles on all finishes and is a true artist. She is extremely professional, especially about completing work to very high standards. I appreciate that she is honest and works within the budget that is set so I can be confident that there will be no surprises at the end. I have worked with her for a number of years and will be having her back to my home again soon. The Project Cost amount reflects a number of projects that Wendy has done in my home. I would recommend her highly for any work.”

“Finding John Gregoras Paper Hanging & Painting was like finding a rare gem. Detailed estimate, clear explanation of what was to be done, no surprises and the project completed on time. I chose bold colors for my rooms, moving away from the old pale decor. No drips, no crooked lines – the team paid attention to all the details. Even the red kitchen came out flawless. The clean-up after the crew finished was impressive, including wiping down the windows to remove any plaster dust and replacing all the furniture, paintings and draperies. From the friendly office staff, to prompt return calls, timely estimates, polite painters, and a job that came in on time & budget, this company is a professional, class act. I’m a stickler for details and hard to please when I have work done around my home but John and his team earn 5 stars from me. I would recommend them without hesitation.”

“My wife and I had Painting By Marge paint the exterior of our small getaway house. Marge was incredibly patient with us during the whole process...from scheduling, choosing colors, etc. She stayed in contact with us throughout the job...texts, phone calls, and pictures whenever necessary. Marge and her crew were professional and thorough, and we very pleased with the results. Hiring a painter was a decision we didn't take lightly, and waiting until we found Marge paid off!”
