He came prepared with a fantastic portfolio and it was clear he was knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He was also a good listener and cared about our needs. We showed him the design inspirations we were toying with and had a casual chat---instead of jumping straight to his design recommendation, he made the effort to get to know us first.
