“John and Kim recently rescued the Sikkens stain finish on our three mahogany garage doors. The prior re-coat of the doors had failed in many areas requiring days of carefully scraping and lightly sanding the failed layer while minimizing damage to the original coats that were in good shape prior to applying several finish coats. The doors turned out great. When I posted the job on CL I said I was looking for an artisanal painter knowing that the job was beyond 99% of the contractors out there and I was unsure that I’d find the right folks. Boy did we find the right folks!!! Ask to see photos of the painting, gilding, stenciling, plaster repairs and more that they have done in church/basilica restoration projects. THEIR WORK PRODUCT IS AMAZING. There are not enough stars here to appropriately rate McClendon Decorative Arts.”
