“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“Josh at Diavolino Hardscapes is one of the most straightforward, honest and hard working contractors I've ever had the pleasure working with. He's meticulous in his work, looks at the big picture to make sure that his job leads to the best results, and goes the extra mile whenever he can. I had him do a combination of concrete and pavers, including planters. The paver pattern was not the easiest, but he took the challenge and did a great job. What particularly impressed me is that I had to install a complex irrigation system under the pavers, and even though coordinating two contractors to work together is often times challenging, he was happy to do it. He also did a great job embedding lighting into the pavers. He always kept the job site clean and safe, and made sure his crew was as respectful to the property and people as he is. I would hire him again at a blink of the eye.”
