I hired Reuben and EWBN at the recommendation of someone I worked with and trusted on another house project and I was not disappointed. Their work was meticulous and I could tell every step of the way that they knew what they were doing and how to do it. We didn't have a parade of subcontractors, but rather a crew from EWBN who knew their craft and performed it with a pleasant attitude and confidence. When they ran into problems or changes to plans, which almost all projects do as they progress, they handled them with skill and positive attitude. I have a tenant at the property who told me that over the course of the project, which really disrupted her life as it included the entire property, she couldn't be happier with the people who were on site, both in their care for her comfort and their pleasant attitude, Above all though is the quality of their work.”

“They replaced my old deck deck and built a deck around my above ground pool. They did a great job and I am happy with the finished product. I did feel like the job could have been completed in 5 days, not 7. The crew sometimes didnt start until 10 and knocked off at 3 with an hour for lunch. It was July and very hot, but as the homeowner I told them they could start as early as they wanted. Might have been betetr to work more before it got real hot.”

“Cliff Cooke took on the total outside renovation of our 100 year old stone house. He took off the slate roof and replaced it with a beautiful commercial grade standing seam roof. He built the gutters into the eaves of the roof so the water could not spill over the gutter. He replaced 96 windows each one a little different in size. He insulated heavily and hired a stone mason who exactly matched The color of our mortar. In the yard, he built a swale to divert the water from our basement. He put the gutter downspouts into an underground pipe and ran it under the driveway to the street. He totally rebuilt the driveway edging it with block. He built a beautiful portico over my back door without the benefits of plans. He heated the back steps, the front steps, a 4’ path to the garage and an area from the street to under the gates to the driveway. They come on automatically when it snows. So nice. He took down 2 telephone poles and put the power lines underground. Cliff can do anything. He had to devise a way to construct the gutters on the house. He’s also a perfectionist. If it’s not done correctly, it’s taken down and done again. He uses good quality materials. He owns a lot of his own equipment. His pricing is always fair. Most of the work he does himself. He is not a supervisor checking everyday on someone else’s work. Cliff has a good sense of design and aesthetic. I didn’t use a designer or an architect but we worked it out as we went along. By the end of the project, I could say “do what you think is best” and it was always just right. The renovations on my house were extensive and spanned 3 years. There were a lot of underlying problems that were exposed especially when the roof came off. Cliff and I spoke almost daily about the project. He’s easy to work with.”
