“My husband and I bought a fixer-upper while I was pregnant with my second child. The house had a great layout but had been used as a rental for years and was in desperate need of a cosmetic refresh, and we were on a time crunch. Matt came out and walked us through all the options and helped us prioritize so that we could get the biggest bang for our buck. We hired him to renovate our bathroom, gut and rebuild our kitchen, and replace all of the trim and doors in our home. His crew was courteous, knowledgeable, and we were impressed with how every small request we'd communicated to Matt had been passed down to the crew which prevented the drama we'd heard about others having during the remodeling process. We got a beautiful look at a reasonable cost and we were so happy with the work that we hired River Mill Construction again the next year to build a front porch and picket fence out front. We loved THAT so much that when it came time to finish our walk-out basement, we called Matt. He helped us maximize every square inch (and even add a full bath!). He was able to advise us on where to splurge and where to save to get a beautiful look and we really appreciated that there was no pressure to spend more than our budget. Matt seemed excited to get us the house of our dreams without breaking the bank, and we couldn't be more pleased!”

Matt designed my patio including pool layout for my backyard. He communicated readily via email and in person and provided a budget estimate with my goals in mind. He worked well with the pool contractor to coordinate timing of the project. Once the job started, Chris, the foreman, and other workers were on time, worked hard, provided updates, and were meticulous in their work. When adjustments in the project plan were needed, Matt was quick to communicate those changes. Matt checked in on the job site regularly as well. They also installed landscaping and sod around the patio/pool. I absolutely love the patio, pergola, fire pit! Can't wait to use it next year! “We hired Percheron recently to build a shed roof overhang on the side of our barn (which will allow us to leave the top of our Dutch doors open in inclement summer weather). I called Percheron because we were very pleased with the work they'd done for us a few years ago, when they built a run-in shed in one of our horse turnouts. As was true for the shed project, again Doug Mott came out within a few days after we called requesting they come out to provide an estimate. Shortly after that visit, Doug got back to us with a very reasonable estimate. Again, we were not disappointed! They were able to get to work almost immediately and finished the job within 4 days. All of the workers were easy to work with and left the property as neat as they found it. The roof is exactly what we had wanted and is VERY well built.
