“I know people are often looking for good contractors, and I wanted to share the AMAZING experience we had with Distinctive Designers & Builders. This is long, but worth it: https://dd-builders.com/ We recently hired them to build a mudroom, and they were professional, efficient, creative, and timely with every aspect of the project-and compared to a few other quotes we got, they were middle of the road. From day one, they were easy to get ahold of and always in communication. They showed up every morning, including Saturdays, at 7:30 and worked many days until sun down! We couldn’t believe it. The project took just over 3 weeks from start to finish. The crew was polite, professional, clean, and focused. Each time there was even a slight variation from our original contract (which often happens with projects like this), they created an addendum and we reviewed and signed it, before they proceeded. Marc, the foreman, is phenomenal. He came up with creative solutions we needed help with (the dog bowls for one), and had great rapport with his team and with us. Please PM me with any questions-but honestly this was the best experience we’ve had working with anyone, and we look forward to working with them again on future projects!”

Eric and his team consistently went above and beyond in their customer service, often staying late or working on the weekends, and ensuring any barriers were immediately rectified. Eric also communicated with us frequently and kept us posted every step along the way. The team completed the project— not just on time— but nearly one week ahead of schedule! With the initial phone call, first onsite meeting and the many phone conversations that followed. Mark worked with us, was patient when we were working through design decisions and especially when working through the cost of the project. There was a lot of give and take and his enthusiasm for our project was evident. “We purchased a pavilion kit and built it ourselves. It took a bit of work, but we couldn't have been happier with the customer service or the resulting structure. It has transformed our backyard. We have several parties planned for this spring and summer and they will all be in the backyard. We added wiring on the pavilion for lights, outlets, and a ceiling fan, to keep it pleasant no matter how hot it is. We also purchased a propane heater so we can be outside even late into fall or on cool spring and summer evenings. In the attached picture, my son threw a party for his school band in late November and they were able to enjoy being outside despite the cooler weather. I hope to add more pictures soon of all the events we have planned.”
