“After Superstorm Sandy struck in October 2012, and blew down two 50+ foot trees on my house and shed, I made 3 calls immediately - the insurance company, the tree company and Walpole. The salesman, Gary Workman from the Greenvale store, came the following day and, when I still had no power, we worked by lantern light designing my new shed. I had explained that this was the most important repair for me, since I do a lot of gardening and use the shed to store all the supplies. The shed had to be functional, but more importantly, it had to be beautiful. In the ensuing months, the shed was redesigned several times. The salesman was wonderful and patient and even made sure to include the stained glass window salvaged from my old shed in the design of the Walpole shed. I requested whimsy and beauty and have a door with a rounded top (I refer to it as "hobbit style!"). The team that came in the spring to build the shed did a fantastic job. I now have the perfect shed thanks to Walpole. It has eased the horrors of all the post storm repairs . Thank you, Walpole, from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could include photos of Walpole's masterpiece.”

“Removal of a large pine tree and stump gave us the opportunity to expand and reconfigure the front entrance deck and steps into our house. My son and I are competent with the carpentry but did not have the time, skills or prowess to dig footings or pour pads. In addition, there were other possible timing issues so I was looking for someone who might be willing to do some aspects of the project but not necessarily all. Matt and Connor of Creative Spaces were recommended to me by a neighbor. I called and Matt came over the next day. We discussed the project and Matt came back the following day with a quote for (1) piers and pad, (2) ledger board, (3) deck structure (without decking), and (4) the complete project. Not all companies are willing to take on only part of a project – it’s all or nothing. Based on costs and other factors, we elected to go with (1) and (2) from Creative Spaces and do the rest on our own. As a small (two-day) project, they were able to schedule it quickly and showed up as agreed. The work went smoothly. The workmanship was excellent and professional. Matt and Connor were a pleasure to have around and even provided helpful advice on aspects of the project they weren’t doing. I have no reservation recommending Matt and Connor of Creative Spaces!”

Our biggest regret in not owning a house with a yard (we live in a city) is that we can't hire him to practice his amazing landscape architecture skills. One only needs to peruse his website to understand why he is the Steve Jobs of his craft. Truly.”

I will return later and post a couple photos. Carnazzo has a long wait time right now, but its worth waiting to find a company that won't mess up the job.”
