As well as maintenance they have taken on hard landscaping and design projects for us. The team are personable, knowledgeable, efficient and proactive. I am so proud of our garden, it always looks tidy and is stunning when in bloom thanks to G&G - I would highly recommend their services.”

“Eliza took a hugely positive and encouraging approach to her garden design work, and was a pleasure to work with. The project had two stages: initial and final, both of which were quoted in advance for price and timescales, and were delivered to the price and on time. The result was highly imaginative and interesting, and our garden attracts praise from everyone who visits us. We are still pleased with what we have and it has stood the test of time. We were recommended a choice of two contractors, and we got quotes from both and chose one of them. The implementation was good, but was let down by taking a very long time and poor pointing on the paving. A lot of this was caused by the weather (sustained torrential rain) and was really outside of Eliza's control. If there was anything that was less than perfect, it was the choice of some of the plants and their location. There were some tall plants that we ultimately failed to keep standing upright because of the wind (we are at the top of a hill). We had been hoping for more all year round plants and less that die down in the winter, but we knew very little at the time, and have since altered the mix a bit. However, we remain fully satisfied with the bit that is difficult to change, namely the hard landscaping.”

He has a good idea of the cost implications and the practical side of how the garden is to be constructed. The drawings he produces are second to none and not only can the client picture the garden we can build within 10mm of the drawing and it will work. He has great vision and we would recommend his skill to anyone undertaking a landscaping project”

“We hired Rebecca Smith to redesign our garden. She came up with a number of well thought out and creative structural ideas at the same time as supplying us with a list of plants and exactly where they should be placed for maximum effect. The end result was amazing! We have had comment after comment on what a beautiful space our garden now is and not only is it a wonderful space to be in, but it is also a real pleasure to open the curtains in the morning and look out onto such a well thought out and planted space (no matter what the time of year). We would thoroughly recommend Rebecca Smith for any garden design and planting projects that you might have.”

“We wanted to turn our garden into a relaxing space, that offered privacy from neighbouring properties. From our very first consultation with Ann, I felt completely at ease that we would be delighted with the end result. She took time to probe our high level thinking and really explore what we wanted to use our garden for, from entertaining and barbecues, to relaxation, and even what wildlife we wanted to attract. Ann took soil samples and went through in some detail what plants we wanted, and whether we wanted a garden that required a lot or little maintenance. She made it clear that she wanted to create a garden that integrated with our lifestyle. We discussed budget and timescales openly, which for us meant a design that we could implement in stages over a 3-4 year period. Ann worked very quickly and in just a couple of weeks she delivered the outline design to us in person taking the time to talk though her design and thinking. It took us by surprise, in a positive way. It defined a very creative use of what is a relatively large (but sloped) space, and incorporated all of the requirements we had specified, and on top of that had a 'wow' factor, that we could never have imagined. Over the next few weeks, Ann firmed up the design and provided several other views including construction plans for the landscapers to use, and planting plans. Each phase had an estimated costing, so we can understand clearly what we are heading into. We're massively excited about implementing Ann's design and watching it come together to transform our home life. Throughout the whole design process Ann was attentive, extremely personable, and her passion for her work was both obvious and engaging. The end result is beyond anything we imagined. “I asked Alice for advice on redesigning my garden in reshaping the path, choosing suitable plants and how to encompass a new shed suitable for the new environment. Alice understood my needs really quickly and came up with the design of the path which flows and compliments the natural materials of my house. The path curves beautifully and creates a desire to explore and see beyond. She has cleverly hidden my shed with planting and chosen specimens which allow the garden to look great all year round. Alice's plant knowledge was vast Alice was efficient, clear and on time with her delivery in an estimate, drawing and organisation of the works to be carried out. The garden was left clean and tidy and on budget. I was more than happy to pay what I consider to be a reasonable rate, for such a high quality piece of work and creative design.”

“Michele Wake, designer, tackled the redesign of our difficult garden with ingenuity and professionalism. The steep gradient was always going to be the main problem, and to provide easy access to the whole garden was a priority. She managed to keep pretty much within budget, which was quite restricting and dictated the materials used. However, using sleepers and bark is very much in keeping with the woodland, natural feel we wanted. The contractors she recommended worked really well with this tricky project, even managing to bring a small digger in down the steep slope in wet weather. Michele was on hand whenever needed to make sure the garden was taking shape as she'd planned. We are delighted with the result, and get a huge amount of pleasure from it, even just looking at it from the house. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommening Greenwave..”
