“We hired Travis to help us with a very unique project for our farm house in central Missouri. We had a small pond that we wanted to expand and stock for fishing, wanted a walkway and dock to give us access to the expanded pond/lake, a tree-lined entrance to the property and overall beautification of the front of the house. Travis is a great listener and an incredibly hard worker. I was amazed at the amount of creativity he poured into the project and am so pleased with the final product. Travis not only created a beautiful design for our property, he also created a great solution for us after our contractor ordered the wrong color windows for the entire house (and then refused to return/exchange them). Travis used the extra windows to create retaining walls and a unique design to frame the dock path. I would highly recommend Travis, especially to anyone who has a large project to tackle.”

We wanted to put in a pool and complete outdoor living environment in our back yard, and upgrade our front yard / driveway to enrich the entire look of the property. He did a phenomenal job on the Design. We went back a forth a couple of times till we settled on exactly what we wanted. He was great at presenting us with options to fit our budget. And, he monitored the contractor during implementation which was a big help. Ray took personal pride in every detail. He has a passion for quality and settled for nothing less that perfection. “John and Colorworks Landscape were referred to us by a online review. Upon digging around for low water use landscaping and design I found Xeristyle, they were terribly unresponsive and Colorworks popped up. After looking through the picture on Colorworks website I decided they were worthy of inviting out for a bid. Within a few hours of talking to him, John already knew exactly what we wanted. John is extremely knowledgeable on all landscaping concepts and knows precisely what works and what doesn’t. His crew is very meticulous, courteous and neat. They also worked around a finished driveway paver system while fixing an existing sprinkler system which had some issues. It was a good sized project and John made sure that each area of a project was being worked on simultaneously and in harmony. Additionally, everyone cleaned up at the end of each day. The finished product looks amazing and everyone stayed late the last day just to make sure everything was perfect. Finally, he was every fair in terms of pricing and ended up doing many items on the house. We could not be happier with the outcome and highly recommend him for any outside landscape or hardscape project.”

“How did all of this begin? We had a (very) old fence that was falling down and had to be replaced. Since there was a lot of vegetation growing on the fence, everything was removed at the same time. We now had a fresh start. Now what? We did some window shopping at several local nurseries. While we found items we liked, we weren’t sure how to put them together. Our area is a side raised bed only about 3 feet wide, but 70 long, plus an area in the front of the house. Many nurseries offer design services, so we decided to pay a little to get a "professional" design. We did get a home visit and a design, but were much underwhelmed, and were not comfortable going with it. Bingo, let’s look for a real pro! We found and spoke to several local designers. One of them thought that our project was a bit too small for her business and recommended Wendy, so we set up an appointment. We all three liked each other and verbally created a broad concept. Wendy sent us on more nursery recon. Together we came up with the long list of possible plants that we liked and might work together. Using the great image resources online we were able to cull the list down to about a dozen varieties. Wendy then did a CAD design, which we all reviewed on paper. Wow, it really looked like a great garden we could visualize. She added some cool touches like boulders; several espalier arrangements and a modern dripper system. Now we were really excited about the potential. As a major part of the service, she acquired all of the plants and materials and hired a team to do the physical work of planting and installing. All we had to do was take delivery and watch the creation unfold. We got lucky in that we installed in early February, during a rainy season here in LA. The plants and we all loved the rain. We’re about 6 weeks in now, and all looks great. We’re only doing a few additions and trimming. Wendy did a great design and implementation, but way beyond that, just enough hand-holding to make this a comfortable project for us. We got the desired effect that we wanted and that will require a minimum of care going forward. It’s actually fun to work on it and watch the growth each week. Go Wendy!”

“I just bought a house in the high desert and I called Ketti for a consultation, I wasn't sure if she would know about how to work in the desert climate but her ideas were amazing. She knows so much about plants and she helped me find the right plants that would grow in my area. Ketti's work is so creative I don't think any other designer would think of the things she does. For example my backyard was surrounded by a pinkish block wall. She suggested I paint the brick a natural plant enhancing brown,and it was amazing how much that small change made in the area. I know with her continuing consultation my yard is becomeing something out of a fairytale, I'll be stepping out into a art-gallery of nature and artistic stone paths that will uplift my soul on a daily basis.”
