“I have used the services of Miles Barnard of South Fork Studio Landscape Architecture for probably over ten years and multiple projects in different towns. Miles created a private oasis with pool and full landscaping in the rear yard of an historic house that I renovated in Chestertown, MD as well as doing full landscaping design services for a 5 1/2 acre property on Broad Creek in Annapolis, MD. Miles was especially helpful in working with the county government to get me through the extensive permitting process required to build a new house in the Critical Buffer Zone along a body of water in Annapolis. Miles is a total professional with great design skills, knowledge of the industry and ability to get the job done and work with contractors, engineers and architects.”

“Our yard is elegant, graphically interesting and well thought out. We are happy with the thoroughness of the team from Stoney Bank Nurseries. From a highly stylized plan which maximizes the gathering spaces in our courtyard - to the care and effort of the planting staff. The whole experience was completed thoughtfully and efficiently. While specifically addressing drainage and privacy issues we were having, the new yard and fence have made the old problem areas visually pleasing and comfortable features of our yard.”

“Cider Mill Landscapes has done a few projects for me and I could not be more thrilled. My work involved laying a patio, and also extending the pool deck and building a wall with columns around the pool, with lighting added to the columns. They are extremely professional, communication was excellent throughout the projects, show up when they say they will and the work is METICULOUS and beautiful. “I've worked with Deanna and her team for a couple of years and have always been more than delighted with her suggestions and the results. At first I was reluctant to contact Garden Escapes because I was concerned that my project was too small for a professional landscaper. That concern was so wrong! She listened to my ideas, likes, and dislikes. It was also important to me that she did not want to scrap everything that I had done previously and install all new plantings. She worked with my Belgian blocks, ferns and a couple other plantings. Some were relocated and new plantings were installed. She also pushed me very gently to go outside my comfort area regarding lighting. I am thrilled with the results. In fact, in Spring 2015 I plan to have her redo the atrium area with E.P.Henry PavingStones. A final point that's also important to me -- Garden Escapes is a small local business.”
