The work included the renovation of a ground-level kitchen and family room and the development of adjacent outdoor living space and gardens, including an outdoor kitchen designed by Jennifer and her team. “Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”

We replaced the shaded scraggly lawn with a wonderful hardscape patio, removed the overgrown plantings, and started over. We could not be more pleased with the result and with Landis Garden Design. Tomi is an accomplished multi-tasker. She works quickly, efficiently and collaboratively and fulfills all promises. She created an excellent design and chose beautiful and interesting plant materials. Our back is so much more open and inviting.”
