The work included the renovation of a ground-level kitchen and family room and the development of adjacent outdoor living space and gardens, including an outdoor kitchen designed by Jennifer and her team. “Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”

“Maryann was great to work with - she listened to what I wanted and worked to incorporate my personal style/preferences. She went above and beyond in ensuring the work was completed and even jumped in to help out herself (in addition to managing the overall work). She was flexible as things changed throughout the course of the project, she provided a great roadmap at the start (her landscape design was lovely!), and she was very knowledgeable about what plants/landscape was needed specific to my yard and concerns (water issues, etc). “I have had the pleasure to work with Joan Honeyman, partner of Jordan Honeyman on three projects. At the first house, the gardens preceded our introduction and my inquiry on who the landscape company was. Notable and striking is her knowledge of plants and what will thrive (not just grow) where. Texture, sheen, scale are some other typical considerations of plants but what others do well Joan does at a very strong level and because of her knowledge of plants she can add more options to the usual suspects of plants.”
