“This project in Vermont was my dream come true home and I wanted to incorporate everything that I wanted in to this project. Keith and Jeff were included early on in the planning of how the house and landscape worked together to integrate in to the natural landscape. There were alot of elements to work with - both the intimate scale close to the house and then the views out to the meadows and the lake. Any time we needed them for a meeting they were immediately on board. They stuck with the budget and offered suggestions on how to reduce costs and yet still meet our aesthetic requirements. They had a great relationship with our contractor and builder and I felt we worked really well together. I highly recommend them and will use them again on future projects. ”

“We would highly recommend Ginkgo's design team for anything from a small garden redesign to a large, full landscape structural design which included rock, walkways, ponds, fountains, trees and gardens - they can do it all. Perhaps the real strength of Ginkgo Design lies in their breath of abilities coupled with a real skill for listening to the client's tastes, needs and vision. Using her extensive knowledge of native plants, her design expertise, and excellent relationships with local contractors, she created the perfect setting for our house. We wanted to blur the lines between inside and outside, frame the near, middle and distant views, and create a sense of harmony and serenity. “After our first winter and spring in our new home, which found us older folks barely able to get to our house safely over an icy parking area some distance away, and then so bogged down in mud that one car had to be abandoned for two weeks when the mud reached mid-way up its hub caps, we were desperate for design help to relocate the the parking area to a safer, more accessible location that would still be attractive. In a one hour consultation Lizabeth was able to appreciate the challenges of our situation and advise how best to proceed. The result has been fantastic! We now have parking right next to our house and we had a totally mud-free parking area this spring; in addition, not only did we not sacrifice the aesthetics, but the changes in elevation have provided us with a new and much more attractive view of our house from the side.”

“Zach Berger Associates has ben designing and maintaining the landscaping of our property for the last several years. He has developed plans, modified them with our input, and then purchased, installed, and supervised each project. The grounds around our house have been transformed. Zach is an artist and he hires only the best people to work out the details. Zach created rock walls and steps that not only stabilized erosion on one side of our home, but provide an elegant transition from the front to the back yards. He hired a master craftsman to build a rock wall along the front entry of the house that is natural and truly lovely, and progress continued on this wall even in the midst of one of the snowiest winters in a decade. Zach hires people who get the job done and take pride in their work. One of the things I've appreciated the most is Zach's maintenance of our property. He anticipates what we might need and schedules work for each season that we can't manage ourselves. He comes out to personally check on the property and has a wonderful relationship with the people he hires. I can trust his judgment on plantings, on the design, and on the execution of his vision. I give him my highest recommendation.”

“We have had several projects completed by Maple Leaf Landscaping over the years and have been 100% pleased with each and every job. The first job was a beautiful bluestone patio in the rear of our home. He listened to what we wanted and designed several plans to fit our liking. He is super talented in being able to visualize the desired end result and make it happen. The patio is about 13 years old now and has held up beautifully. Recently we had Dave come back and add an addition to our patio including 3 steps down to a very nice firepit! This took a professional and talented eye to plan with the grade of our land. He was able to scale down the project to suit our financial resources also. Dave also did some work on our driveway to enhance drainage and these have worked well over the years. We also hired Maple Leaf to build us a front walk with pavers and it is very tasteful and sturdy! Dave is the ultimate professional. He gets back to you when he says he will and he shows up when promised. He and his crew are polite, neat and clean up their working area during and after the job. I would have no reservations in hiring Dave of Maple Leaf Landscaping for another project if the desire or need arose.”

“Baptiste was a true pleasure to work with! The utmost professional. I appreciate that he combines his expertise with stonework/landscaping, with his creativity and skills as an artist. He took our idea of a simple walkway, and provided us with a product that was beyond our expectations. Baptiste’s estimate was also right on par with others of the same caliber. When we decided to "enhance" our plan, we truly appreciated that he worked with us, and our budget, to make practical changes that helped cut costs. He even ended up coming in under his estimate. Baptiste’s communication was superb as well. He kept us in the loop the entire process, from scheduling the estimate, coming back to finalize, and throughout the creation of a beautiful new walkway and landscaping. He didn’t miss a beat.
