“I have used the services of Miles Barnard of South Fork Studio Landscape Architecture for probably over ten years and multiple projects in different towns. Miles created a private oasis with pool and full landscaping in the rear yard of an historic house that I renovated in Chestertown, MD as well as doing full landscaping design services for a 5 1/2 acre property on Broad Creek in Annapolis, MD. Miles was especially helpful in working with the county government to get me through the extensive permitting process required to build a new house in the Critical Buffer Zone along a body of water in Annapolis. Miles is a total professional with great design skills, knowledge of the industry and ability to get the job done and work with contractors, engineers and architects.”

“Jennifer recently worked with me to redesign my garden to include a pool and travertine patio surrounded by four raised flower beds. I found her on the internet, and engaged her after an initial conference when it was clear that she had the imagination and skill to work within the constraints of a historic house and a hardheaded gardener determined to hang onto many heritage plants. While there were many subsequent tweaks, we never really varied much from her initial design, because she listened so well that her first design incorporated all that I was looking for. Her design, her selection of materials, and her ability to work everything I wanted to save from my old garden into a rational and symmetrical but informal garden plan are, I am certain, going to win her another award. I then engaged Jen to supervise construction, and that was a good move. She was constantly in touch with the various contractors, often working alongside. When problems arose, she had several solutions ready to present before she told me about the problem. Inevitably things came up that had not been included in the initial budget she had prepared so carefully, but she made me aware all along of choices and their costs, so I never felt sandbagged. Best of all, she stuck to her estimate of major construction costs even when the actual cost must have far exceeded the budgeted amount. I could never have dealt with the various trades as well as she did, lacking both time and knowledge. While I value her design skills, I must say that without her supervision, I know this project would have cost far more, taken much longer, and probably not turned out as well. Jen is now working with me on the interior of the pool house. I simply do not have the time to shop during tax season, and am finding it wonderful to have her do the leg work so that my involvement is limited to choosing from alternatives and writing checks. The pictures she creates enable me to envision choices so easily that I'm looking forward to working with her on other interior projects. At least four of my friends are planning to consult with Jen even though my project is far from finished- my garden in winter is not much to see! I recommend her wholeheartedly. Not only is she skillful- she is delightful to work with. I will post a photo when the project is completed later this year.”

“Annabelle Sailer and her team get 5 stars for what they did to landscape our small space in March 2011. She took our yard in Murray Hill and turned it into something breathtaking! Not only that, but we had a wedding to get ready for and it was ready (the physical work) in 10 days! That included an original fish pond that she had her stone mason build for us. We had no way for a back hoe to bring in a prefab one which was our first plan. People compliment our front and side yard all the time and when I take them around back it takes their breath away! She created a miracle in what was a small, challenging space. We welcome anyone considering this landscape design company to come by and take a look.”

“The work was great! Their price was very much in line with other pool companies. They are a very good company. They were here when they were supposed to be here. We worked closely with Austin. He explained everything very well to us. If Austin was not on site, there was always a project manager on site that had great communication with Austin. They completed the work in about two weeks. We did have a couple of problems, but they came right back and fixed them. They ensure that their customers are satisfied. I would definitely use them again.”
