“We've used several handymen in the past for odd jobs that I do not feel like attempting/botching on the weekends. Typically, I feel that these handymen artificially inflate the price of their services in order to make it "worth their time" to come to my house for a "small job", and the final work product always seems rushed and/or amateur.
This is where James Parson General Contracting stands out. James has never made me feel like I was bothering him, he is always fairly priced, and his work product impresses my wife (who has high standards as an Interior Designer for a design/build company). In addition, and I'm not sure this matters but I feel compelled to say it based on past experiences: he isn't creepy. I trust him in the house alone with my wife and daughter. He answers and questions we have and leave the house cleaner than he found it.
I do not typically write reviews of this caliber, but I feel that James has earned it.”

“Chip responded promptly to my Houzz inquiry and showed up at my request to provide an estimate on replacing a pulldown attic stairs. The stairs previously had not closed properly, and another contractor recommended replacing them. Within a minute of looking at the project, Chip was able to figure out how to close the stairs (a railing had not been properly aligned) and as a result there was no need to have work done. I appreciated his ability to quickly diagnose and solve the problem without the need to spend money on a new set of stairs and brackets. I would certainly hire him for another project.”
