“We worked with Whittney to design a play cafe, a completely new concept to our city. We asked her to design a space that allowed for free-play for kids but at the same time felt cozy and inviting for parents...plus a cafe! What she designed is incredible and we loved working with her from start to finish. We are a start-up and she was very generous with her time and worked within our budget every step of the way. She explained every drawing, every piece of material and textile, every architectural feature, everything that was happening during the buildout ...we asked all the questions we possibly could (she is patient) and her responses were always knowledgable, confident, and she was always right! Whittney was our advocate always, and worked very closely with our contractor to be sure they were following the design. She recommended sub-contractors and was able to decrease our build-out budget significantly. We have been open for 6 months as of June 2015 and our guests (children and parents) use our space as we had envisioned them doing so, which says a lot for a new design concept. Whittney is still involved in our space and donated her time to update our chalkboard wall. Yes, she is an illustrator as well!
