Kay visited, listened to how I need my home to function, talked me through the possibilities and created several mood boards to enable me to visualise how it could look. She even sent me links to the products I needed, taking the angst out of shopping for the right items. “Having been used to furnishing period properties, I suspected I would be in trouble when I purchased a large, square-roomed flat with no intrinsic features to guide me. Fortunately I found Lisa who, over a period of several months, has delivered a home that is both stylish and comfortable. She is very professional and needed to be extremely patient, since I knew what I didn’t want rather than what I did. After an initial meeting on site she produced mood-boards that were subsequently added to and subtracted from. Having sourced pieces that she felt would work Lisa accompanied me on two days of pre-arranged meetings with suppliers, her presence being invaluable in keeping me focused. She ordered items once decided upon and arranged for their delivery, which sometimes required time-consuming input on her part since I am absent from the UK for periods of time. Lisa has great ideas, is a delight to work with and really cares about what she does. In short, I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone seeking a thoughtful, talented and pro-active interior designer.”

“Had a fantastic experience working with Nina the last 5 months on a renovation project in central Bath. Nina did the initial concept for the whole project (90 sqm 2 bedrooms split level flat), paint colour consultation, sourced carpets, blinds, tiles, furniture and decorations. We also had a professional photoshoot which Nina acted as stylist for the day. Not only is Nina extremely knowledgeable, she also understands our requirements very well, she's conscious of our budget, and tries to add value where it created most impact. She also provided me with a very useful shopping list which included everything which I needed to buy in order to equip the room and links to the web pages. As a busy working mother I don’t have time to go around the shops so being able to order everything off the list in this way was a godsend. On a personal note Michelle has a real talent for translating your personality and emotional needs into a space which serves them. “I wanted to convert a very dull and crowded spare room/playroom into a relaxing 'sanctuary' for myself and guests; Mandy immediately saw where I was coming from and was in on the project from the start. With an eye for details and a real feel for the person, she carefully put together two different scenarios of environments where I've felt most relaxed - a beach theme and a mountain theme. The mood boards she created were beautiful and I found it difficult to choose between the two themes, though the mountain room she envisaged gave me the restfulness coupled with the cosiness that I wanted. Mandy then measured up and carefully observed how the natural light fell, as well as coming up with clever suggestions on how to deal with elements of the room that couldn't be changed - e.g. the dormer window and the sloping ceilings. From here she worked up a floor plan with soft shapes and functional, but relaxing furnishing ideas. Never forcing her thoughts on me, I had plenty of free range to add my own touches and she showed me how to use colours and the way they can work together. I was much more adventurous than I have been before! It felt like we really worked together as a team to achieve the finished results. So, my 'sanctuary' includes a bed (so we can still welcome guests), a seating/TV/gaming area (where the big kids can still relax, but their paraphernalia is low key/hidden), a reading area with a comfortable chair and footstool, and coffee table (reclaimed and painted). There's a variety of textures and soft colours using mainly greys and dusky pinks and other natural colours. My favourite part is the main wall featuring a mural of a mountain range in silhouette in soft dawn tones. I absolutely love it - as do my guests and kids! I highly recommend Mandy and her work. Her designs are beautiful, thoughtful and functional; whilst she provides plenty of her own ideas she is keen to incorporate your own too. I'll definitely be using Mandy again.”
