All we had to work with was the small landing at the top of the stairs and I was feeling stressed about finding space for the work tools I used daily and storage for those I didn’t. I was also worried about feeling energized and at peace in such a small space. Where I saw limitations, Jen saw possibilities and she got to work immediately sending me layouts and sketches. She also asked me lots of questions about my day to day work flows and the tools I used and how often. “A few months ago I was at my wits end, on the verge of a meltdown. We had just moved into our fully renovated 50 year old home a month prior when I received a tip that my husband and mother may be planning to throw me a surprise birthday party at the house. I went into panic mode. We had barely finished unpacking the boxes and there was no way I could have the house in decent shape in time. Enter Dominion Design by LaFonda and designer, LaFonda Williams (or my fairy godmother as I now think of her). She swooped in on a cloud of calm, competence and compassion and took over everything. She listened to what we said we wanted and worked around the clock to get everything done in a completely unrealistic timeframe. Most importantly, she worked within our budget, unearthing incredible pieces at bargain prices and helping me prioritize where we should spend the money. If I ever doubted that she was the real deal, I knew it for certain the night I was sitting on my sofa at 11:00 p.m., observing LaFonda on a ladder rearranging books and accessories on the top shelf of the bookcase. Each room was transformed into something I could only ever have dreamed of, and that I could never have achieved on my own. I did in fact have a surprise birthday party, but the house stole the show!”

They even accompanied us to the Dallas Furniture Market to assist us in selecting everything for our new home! When we came back I would go to her design studio and they would have the drapery and accent fabrics all laid out for me to pick from! It was painless and so exciting! Everyone that enters our home is blown away by how gorgeous it is!”
