“My husband is very handy so we knew he could do the work. Problem was we didn’t have a design plan. I decided to call a professional. From the initial phone call, I felt I could work with Becky. She asked lots of pertinent questions, and I scheduled a home consultation. The project was a living room in a 30 year old house which hadn’t been redecorated in 20 years. We have views of a lake, so a nautical theme seemed natural. After much discussion, Becky suggested a “nautical shabby chic decor” complete with chandelier and seashells. She mentioned several architectural changes, such as taking down a 3/4 high wall near the stairs and installing a horizontal window over the fireplace. Just these 2 ideas added much-needed light into the room. We added white faux beams to the ceiling, a warm ash hardwood floor, and gorgeous grey walls (not a color I would have considered until I saw her picture board). What I especially liked was that she also helped me choose some wonderful, inexpensive accent pieces - a 4 foot sailboat on a shelf over our piano, cut glass lamps to enhance the chandelier, and a beautiful golden rug. These were found in consignment stores! We found Becky easy to talk to and she had out-of-the-box ideas! She listened to what we told her. She is an excellent communicator, and doesn’t try to talk you into something you are not comfortable with. Becky was reliable and when she says she will call you, she does. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is thinking about a design plan. The outcome is a stunning room that we will be able to enjoy for years to come!”

She recently helped me with a paint schedule all rooms including living rm, Dining rm, Family rm Kitchen on a 4,000 plus 6 bedroom sq foot house. The result -----intimacy and flow. We love it and it is fun to see the joy in the eyes of my visitors! Not the generic ideas very suited to our sensibilities! Clever accent pieces are making the house a home. Very unique approach.”

“Ali worked with me on color and design as my husband and I remodeled an 1845 Greek Revival home. We wanted to keep some of the 1950's elements that were in the house while recreating some of the original grandeur of the home. Ali was up for the challenge! It was such a pleasure working with her. She understood our budget and worked within it. She helped us make budget decisions as to where it would be more effective to put our money from a design perspective. She has a real gift when it comes to color. She worked with me on picking out all of our rooms colors (13 of them!). We were starting from zero. I wanted our home to be anything but beige. I wanted it colorful but had no idea how to choose the colors so that they were unified but different throughout our home. She did an amazing job. I wanted to keep the tile in our 1950's kitchen, but still have the kitchen look like it belonged to the rest of the house. She picked out a wall paper that ties the whole area together. I think it looks fantastic. Finally, she was a breath of fresh air, joy and calmness through this whole process. She was confident in her choices and able to deal with contractors who wanted to take an easier path at times. I highly recommend Ali.!”

“We moved to Newburyport last year from a large farm house to a much smaller house. Not only was the space smaller but a bit funky as well. We needed to get rid of some of our bigger furniture and get more compact furniture. Needless to say, we were somewhat overwhelmed. We hired Kami to help us figure out what would work and what wouldn’t and how to place things. She has a great eye and was very gentle when we couldn’t see her vision. She helped with brainstorming, placement researching places that would have what we were looking for. With her help and vision we have a beautiful home that flows with ease.
