“Leyla came out for a 2 hour consultation. My intent was to get ideas and colors for a dining room and bathroom. It was totally worth it because Leyla seems to instinctively know design. In her mind's eye she saw a round table where I had been considering to switch out my rectangular dining table for a round one but I hadn't even asked her yet. She pointed to me that of all the pictures I saved for her to see what style attracted me, my current decor did not reflect it, in color or style. Seems like a no brainer and yet I didn't see that until she showed me specifics. She pointed out things like wallpaper and paint meeting without an architectural break was a no no. I never liked the way it looked but didn't know why. She honestly pointed out that my kitchen was too dark, and that I should repaint the dark ceilings. Her manner is direct, honest and cheerfully friendly. I had a long list of questions and she addressed every one satisfactorily whether it was about draperies, wall colors or furnishings. I would hire Leyla again. Sorry no pictures yet. Because I'm acting as my own general contractor and doing a lot of the work myself it is taking longer than anticipated, perhaps I can attach a photo later on.”

“Katherine helped us first by arranging existing furnishings and accessories and making suggestions based on what our overall goals were. It was amazing how re-framing pictures, adding a new lamp and putting a new shade on an existing lamp enhanced our family room. Next she found an area rug for our entry that complimented and unified two different rooms. Katherine’s suggestions for two fireplace mantel accents were perfect. Her idea for a custom area rug with a leather boarder for our kitchen nook was spot-on. She helped us choose hardwood to replace carpeting in our family room and dining room. Guchi Interiors installer was excellent! Stairs were redone with carpet on the tread and hardwood on the risers. When I found some beautiful fabric in Hawaii and wanted to have it framed, she suggested a much more elaborate panel using a drapery rod and tassels.
