Stacey came out to do a consultation amidst our chaos of house projects and had no issues seeing right past those to make recommendations and plan for staging. Stacey came back another day to help stage and was flexible and understanding when our house still wasn’t in a perfect state. She helped rearrange furniture to fit the rooms best and decorated our house from top to bottom. I would love to keep all of the beautiful pieces that added such an amazing feel to our home. It is absolutely adorable, and I’m confident that we will gain interest in our house quickly with her staging skills. Stacey worked with our crazy schedule and was more than accommodating. “I asked Paola to provide a design for remodeling my bathroom with the goal of replacing the tub with a shower. My only request was that she retain my Mexican hand-painted ceramic sink. As the room is only 5 X 7, she had quite a challenge to update the room, giving an impression of more space, on a very small budget. Her design was perfect. All the materials to be used were low cost but did not look low cost. The finished product was well within my budget and looks great. I get many very positive reactions from family and friends. It is very impressive.”

“Janet Aurora of Decor and You took a huge hodge-podge basement full of cast-offs, under utilized antiques, builder grade/selection paint and zero personality and transformed it into a welcoming, warm, personable, fun and useable place. The basement now has a comfortable media viewing area, an area that can be used for projects, an attractive and much needed storage wall (with a service bar), conversation/reading nook for 4, two tables that can seat 16 for dinner, AND it can all be transformed into a party area (in which we comfortably hosted 47 people last weekend). She did an excellent job of incorporating my "memory pieces" (quilts, family furniture) with fresh new ideas, furniture, colors and patterns.....all within my budget. On top of it all, Janet was a blast to work with and even managed to pull my reluctant husband into the fray with her good humor and her ability to read people. This was not a "here is my plan, this is the way it will be" type of experience. I felt my input was carefully listened to. At the same time, I was told what might work better than some of my ideas and why. (And she was right...I guess that is why she is the professional!) Finally, the installers, painters, and construction people that she used were all top notch and friendly. An excellent experience, sort of sorry it is all over.”

“I engaged Kindra this Spring to help me with updating my entire home. I explained that this would be a long term project, as every room needs to be updated. Our house is a small rambler, built in the 1950s, that felt cramped and crowded. With a small foot print, we struggled to find the right proportions and scale. After our initial consultation, Kindra suggested we start with the main living areas, living room and sunroom. She helped me select hardwood flooring and paint colors to give my home the coastal feel I wanted. Understanding I wanted to maximize my project budget, she has provided exciting ideas on revamping existing furniture, recommended new pieces that don't break the bank, and masterfully incorporated the mish-mash of family pieces my husband and I have collected. Kindra approaches each project in a very organized fashion, providing eye catching vision boards for each room with detailed item lists to choose from. An excellent listener, she picks up on the subtle things to help you achieve the look and feel you want. She is also not afraid to let you know when you might be heading off track. When I asked about incorporating a favorite chair style from my broke college days, she gently explained that it didn't fit with the vision I had shared. A few days later she recommended similar chairs that were more fitting with what I want. Working with Kindra has been a rewarding collaboration. Our home has become a sanctuary, completely unrecognizable from the hot mess it was before. We are looking forward to working with her to update the rest of our space.”

“After moving into our townhouse, we were looking to re-paint the interior but didnt know where to get started. We had a general idea of a certain color scheme but didnt know what colors complimented each other or how to tackle the entire house to ensure each room was distinct. Mimi was very accommodating to meet with us in the evening after we came home from work. She was very knowledgeable in helping us select colors for each room and thoughtfully explained how various colors complemented each other and they flow from one room to the next. She was very professional, patient and we felt that we could trust her guidance right off the bat. With Mimi's help we ended up designing a color scheme for the living space, dining room, kitchen/breakfast nook, master bedroom, basement/den and office/crafting room. I want to add in that she paid extra special attention to the office / crafting room since we did not want it to be too feminine as it was going to be used by both genders. She provided a very nice mock-up with detailed images and comments explaining how the space could be effectively utilized. I thought this was truly helpful being able to actually envision what the room would look like when completed. The last item was turning an under the stairs closet into a wet bar. Again, she provided a well thought out mock-up with images, options and comments explaining how it could be ultimately set up. It was a very unique vision but one that really got us excited to take on the project. Mimi was very responsive throughout the entire process when we had questions and as an end result, we couldnt be happier with the end result! Mimi is great and I would recommend her to anyone!”
