“"Let the experts do their job" It's a credo that I've lived by in so many aspects of my life, and if I ever needed a real-life example, it's Alanna and Tracy. My wife and I had utilized every profession and craft wizard as we maneuvered our way thru a massive, total, complete and life changing remodel of our master bedroom/bathroom suite. However, the 99% of cost, dust, angst and worry would've been meaningless if not for their final touches. Our furniture, new flooring, and freshly painted walls had to stay but we gave them free reign beyond that. A few visits later they asked us to "go away for a few hours" and we returned to a reveal that we still marvel at all these months later. Simply put, not only would we have screwed it up had we tried to it ourselves, but we'd probably still be searching for something because we know that something needs to go there but we don't know what that something is. We can't wait to embark on our next project and once again let them spin their magic throughout our home.”

“I live in an antique post-and-beam home (1765) where I'm trying to keep the bones traditional and fill the home with antiques from the various time periods the home has witnessed while still being sensitive to its colonial origin. Amy has helped in so many ways, from brainstorming quality fabrics and cuts, where to get things beautifully upholstered on a budget, sourcing furniture, appliances, and fixtures, how to restrain my color urges while still giving space to creative energy, and, most recently, helping me identify unthought-of sources and combinations for my small(er)-budget kitchen renovations. I absolutely love the results and am so thankful to have a like-minded local designer guru in Amy. She's super smart, sensitive to budgets, accessible, and professional. She says she's "new" to the field but is an absolute pro!”

“Judy Elliott has a wonderful creative eye and beautiful design aesthetic. She is now working on the third design project for us. She created a spectacular Vermont themed new bath which is cool, contemporary and used all Vermont based materials including Vermont slate, Danby marble, river rock, and Vermont artisans. She also designed a perfect family room working with existing dark, old barn board which resulted in a very comfortable, bright, and pretty room with a touch of whimsy. She has come up with a creative design solution for our master bedroom which will result in privacy for an open space and a cohesive, attractive theme. Judy is so easy to work with - she is flexible, deadline oriented, and fun!”

She recently helped us with a pretty large renovation: the entire first floor (kitchen, lounge, dining, mudroom, office, powder room, living room). Lauren was able to interpret my child-like descriptions of what I envisioned and turned it into our dream renovation- on time and within our budget! She was patient and understanding when I went round and round about counter tops; she helped me refocus on the design and stopped me from over-thinking it! Lauren was meticulous with our budget and was able to negotiate where to save and where to spend. We couldn't be happier with our project. “Since purchasing a second home in Vermont several years ago, Mary Jo has done a phenomenal job putting together great finishing touches as well as doing a complete design and decoration of our basement! We absolutely love it!! What I appreciate most about Mary Jo is her ability to proactively seek out options and keep our projects moving forward even though we are not in the same state. She sends us samples and puts together a completed vision board so we always know where we are headed and what the final look will come out like. I personally like taking a very hands-on approach to these types of projects and Mary Jo has been extremely willing to participate in the collaborative nature of that process. I also appreciate The combination of quality and affordability that Mary Jo is able to source in the vendors she chooses. Mary Jo has great ideas and is very talented. She is brace in her use of color, texture and pattern while not going over the top. Mary Jo has been excellent to work and any issues were dealt with promptly and professionally.”
