I had an idea to use green as I love the color and because we live in the mountains thought this would be a harmonious color to use. My husband thought brown would be better as the house was originally redwood. The browns I found just didn't work and then I found Rachel. Well, she nailed it by selecting several browns that could be used with our home. Who knew there could be so many browns that would complement our home. She selected the trim color and deck color. This home never looked better and the colors she selected brought the natural stone that the original builder added to the house, now gives it a WOW factor rather then just existing next to the gray color that one of the former owners painted. “This was the second time I hired Sam Jernigan to assist me in remodeling and redecorating. The first was in 2012 with a Victorian cottage that was going to be a vacation rental. Having no experience with that era I needed help and Sam provided much more than that. She was amazing. And the house turned out completely charming and beautiful. So, when I was redoing the home I had just purchased after living there for 8 years as a renter, I called Sam again. And once again, she was really wonderful. She is hugely talented, has a wonderful sense of color and design, comes up with great ideas and suggestions based on the space, the structure, your personal style, and has just an intuitive sense of what will work. I used virtually all of her ideas for this latest project, and can only say that everything she suggested worked so well that I feel like I am living in a completely new house and without major remodeling. The house has been transformed by her strong sense of color and design. In addition, she is a pleasure to work with. “For openers, let me confess I am a procrastinator. Not because I don't want things done, but more about fear. Fear of decorating. Fear of choices. Fear of buying the wrong style and wrong color. Fear of driving myself crazy thinking about it. I needed help and finding the right designer isn't easy. I knew right away when I received Trisha's advertising flyer that I was not going to procrastinate making an appointment. My fear disappeared as soon as we met. It was a beautiful moment when she said "Oh, this is going to be easy and fun to do. And it truly was just like that - fun and easy. The guest bedrooms now have window shades that I never would have though of. Coolest shades ever! The entryway got a fabulous new rug and mirror. The living room went from blah to just what I imagined it could be. My bedroom has the sexiest white leather chair that just calls my name to come and relax. The new rug changes everything and my new bed will arrive soon. Everything just came together. Every item delivered was perfect. No second thoughts or returns. Great service. Great choices. Great attitude. All of this and exactly on budget. There is more to be done in the near future, but for now I cannot express enough my appreciation for Trisha's ability to capture exactly what I wanted. Even if I didn't know what I wanted.”
