“This was the first time I ever used an interior designer, and BMS has exceeded any expectations I had about the process and delivery. They were timely with the designs at every round, did a great job at staying within my budget, and were always available to chat and/or meet. I was always impressed with the renderings they provided, and how fast they turned around any changes I had requested. Once the design was finalized, they provided a Google Sheets document with links to the products needed to complete the project. The great thing about the Google Sheets doc is that it was organized by each room, and there were multiple links provided for each item at various price points. Once I would purchase something I would just cross it off the list. Another surprising aspect of the experience is how knowledgeable they were about the sizes of nearly every aspect of the design and my home, which speaks to their attention to detail. Literally, they got to know my house better than I do. Highly recommend working with BMS Interior Design & Renovations”

“Barbara is absolutely amazing! She partnered with us early on in the construction process and was with us until the end. She does it all - finishes (tile, granite, cabinets, carpet, lighting, paint colors), furniture, lamps, rugs, window treatments, accessory items. She encouraged us to consider items which I would have otherwise been reluctant to try and they turned to to be some of my favorite parts of the home. Overall, her input and guidance with our selections led us to a final product that was better than I could have ever imagined. In addition, besides the result, she is so fun to work with. I thoroughly enjoyed the process. She is kind, patient, hardworking, detailed oriented, and very knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about her. I would definitely recommend her for any project, large or small. She is fantastic!”

“When it comes to interior design John has an intuitive eye for what is absolutely right and he is delightful to work with. We found John McClain Interior Design met all of our decorating needs including painting, window treatments & lighting. John is very knowledgeable, talented, friendly and amazing when putting colors together. (He makes it look so simple!) His designs are calming and inspiring. We love the understated yet contemporary and beautiful theme selected for each of our rooms. The cost was also economical compared to other quotes that we received. We were excited to be a part of every detail and stay within our original budget. John’s professionalism, friendly and down to earth approach made the whole experience absolutely delightful. “Great sense of design and wide, unexpected connection to materials. We have worked with Katie on two major house projects. Picking paint colors with a spouse can be difficult, let alone a major rehab. Katie was able to help both navigate our design thoughts and material selection for project success. After the first - kitchen, family room, dining, and laundry room project, we knew we chose well with Katie as we didn’t want to change anything two years later. Most impressive, Katie was able to keep with the vibe of the house fitting today’s design seamlessly. (2019 Project under Loutsen Short Lane) Our last project was a master bedroom and 2 bathroom, room re-configurations. Katie’s design helped curate the right contemporary design to match our modern sensibilities while planning for mobility issues that may be in our future. There are no grab bars etc, but clear spaces and material choices don’t give a clue.”
