She has a great group of subcontractors she works with and expertly oversees their timelines and work quality. “Laura Nine makes dreams come true! When I bought my dream home, I was living in another state, quite a distance away. Therefore, I was unable to make trips to begin the decorating process and furnishings for my new home. I had decided not to bring any of my past furniture or other home decorations with me, as I wanted to start “new and fresh.” So I had nothing, not a bed or a chair to begin my new adventure. Then I discovered the best professional – Laura Nine. Immediately I was impressed with Laura’s ability to listen, her pleasant manner, and her professional demeanor in getting to know all my wishes and desires for furnishing my new home. Her creativity and keen eye for customization is exceptional, given that she accomplished the interior decorating of my dream house long distance before we ever first met. Her experience and skill set enabled her to capture the essence of me in every room she touched. Beyond just furnishing my home, she used her ability to actually personalize the entire design experience for me. Deep knowledge of the industry was evident in Laura’s “finds” for the right furniture; once again reflecting my taste yet keeping true to a farmhouse setting. She never ceased to amaze me with the finds for those nooks and grannies making each room “pop” with eye- catching colors and details. Laura also brings to her customers extensive networking of other professionals in designing a beautiful home. She brought others with expertise beyond her interior design. For example, my spa room is hand painted with a wraparound breath taking mural that brings the outside of the farm indoors. Laura brought the artist to me. Outside the spa room is a county herb garden that a master gardener designed through Laura’s suggestion. One of the many characteristics that Laura displays is that she is extremely considerate of being on a budget and works hard to uncover those elegant furnishings that are affordable to her clients. Given my busy schedule, I appreciated that she was always on time and extremely dependable and reliable. She often made trips to my farm and brought things to me to try, rather than me having to travel and see them at another place of business. Another unique characteristic that Laura brought to designing my dream home was customer service. She took the time that I needed and never once did she rush me. Her customer service made me feel like I was her special client. She treated me with respect and dignity. And she taught me how to slow down and enjoy my purchases before adding more. In my high pace world, she provided me an opportunity to “settle in” with each new purchase, How much I appreciated this guidance and advice. It enabled me to really relax and get to know my new home. Each new purchase meant so much more to me. To this day I thank Laura so much for knowing me and helping me; she made this dream home truly mine. She also went far beyond and above what was expected when it came to customer service. I will never forget arriving at the farmhouse for the first time and what she had done to welcome a group of weary travelers “home.” She had purchased comforting sheets and made beds, put out plush towels, and had assembled assorted breakfast items for the pantry and refrigerator. This was certainly a display of true Southern Hospitality at its best. Perhaps the best testimony is illustrated from others that have commented on my home. As soon as people enter the door, their first impression or words are often “wow" and "how elegant yet comfortable your house feels.” I often entertain and from the bedrooms to the bathrooms and every place in-between, my guests feel the warmth and comfort of a peaceful Southern retreat. “My husband and I agonized over how to go about some major home renovations for years. This included total removal of a main wall in the home, all new flooring, and a complete gut/redesign of our kitchen. We got many quotes and layout ideas from several contractors. At the last minute we decided to interview a few interior designers. Honestly, we never intended to hire a designer, due to fact we viewed this as an unnecessary added expense. After our first meeting with Joycelyn , we both agreed without hesitation, she was needed. She presented a few unique layouts that were far superior to anything anyone else had presented. We were blown with her creativity and design, that equally emphasized functionality, and practicality. Her ideas were simply in a different class than the others we had viewed. More impressively, she casually threw out some minor "tweaks" that we never considered, and realized would provide a dimension of class we did not feel we could afford. We were in awe of how quickly she got to know what we wanted, much better than we did. Instead of us deciding between dozens of back splashes, or light fixtures, she'd bring us two or three samples to start, and without fail she nailed it with her initial samples. Her attention to detail, and coordination of materials and fixtures far exceeded our expectations. The nightmare we anticipated with major home renovations, ended up being significantly smoother than expected. In fact things were going so well, we added removal of living room built-ins, popcorn ceilings, and refacing of a fireplace to our project. The final result is amazing. We are more than a year out and I am still telling my husband on a regular basis how happy I am with our home. I also have to say, there is not one tiny design aspect I would change.
