We have returned to them for further work, for dining furniture, and for a new bathroom. They designed a special shelving unit to blend with the olivewood cupboards, admired by everyone. Their workmen are of the highest calibre, and every detail is taken care of. Richard seemed to have an intuitive grasp of what I would like, and how I would want things to be, and that was very reassuring when you know you will be away for the entire project. hobsons|choice are a pleasure to deal with – two friends of mine are already using them thanks to my eulogies.””

“Nigel Wilson of Auspicious Furniture designed and built my kitchen and also my en suite bathroom cupboards. From the outset Nigel contributed many excellent ideas, while always taking into account my own. He spent a long time in the flat talking the project through, paying great attention to the aesthetics of the job as well as the practicalities. I live in a converted, Grade II listed, woollen mill and we both wanted the work, while being modern and functional, to fit in with the character of the mill. There were also unusual technical problems to overcome in a converted industrial building and Nigel always came up with solutions with great flair and creativity. The quality of the work and materials was exceptionally high and the whole project extremely good value. I was so pleased with the result that I went back to Nigel a few months later to make cabinets and bookshelves for my bedroom and study and window shutters for the study and kitchen. He is a craftsman who cares.”

The reason we chose Mark and his partner Jean was that from the outset they demonstrated great patience through the process of the design, walking us through a range of options but also listening to what were our particular needs for the finished kitchen as well as the attention to detail which came through during the building work and the fitting out to a quality finished spec. We were, and continue to be, absolutely delighted with the finished kitchen and thoroughly enjoy using it every day.
