It was a 1960's fixer upper we were thinking about buying in our dream location and if Iron Rose hadn't come through, we might not be settled and happy with our location right now. I am an anxious person and was prepared for a HGTV-style reno nightmare BUT I had so much fun working with them! They touched every room and one year later, everything is still perfect. My kitchen is a show piece. Owen refinished our wood floors beautifully. They took down walls, created an office with a double sided fireplace, and made 3 very dated bathrooms shine. They installed appliances and new water-proof flooring where we didn't have hardwood. “We LOVE our new shower and bathroom floor! I called several contractors to get a quote on this job. Some never showed up. Some came and measured but never gave us the quote and others had quotes that were unaffordable. Roger came when he said he would and gave us a prompt quote that was very affordable. He helped with the tile selection and made the process enjoyable. He said the job would take one week and it did. His men were very courteous and respectable of our home. The tradesmen were outstanding. Beautiful work and very respectful of our home keeping it as clean as possible. We couldn't have asked for a better finished product. We would recommend this company to anyone. Might I add that we got three bids on our project. Kitchen Expo was not the least expensive but were the most professional and promptly responded to every question we had during our decision process. “Emery Design & Woodwork (Ryan and his team) did an outstanding job on our stairway remodel!!! We went from drab white spindles & boring carpet to fab rod iron spindles and solid hardwood stairs. :) They were very polite, timely, courteous, conscientious, and paid great attention to detail. They finished the project in the time they promised (major bonus!). If we had questions they took the time to make sure we were satisfied. Ryan was always available to answer our questions and hear our suggestions (and, believe me, we are very particular with our home!). Last minute changes weren't an issue for this team - they really wanted to make the customer happy (and they definitely did!). :) Bottom line - they were fabulous to work with and our stairway is now transformed into a lovely showcase!!! :) Thanks again, Ryan and team, you guys are true professionals!!! :)”

“We initially hired McVey Home Improvement to remodel two bathrooms. The McVey team offered some excellent ideas for the remodeling with a reasonable price. We had interviewed other companies, but by far, the McVey presentation was the most professional. Once the project started, we were impressed by Mr. McVey's promptness, positive attitude and expertise. The two bathrooms were completed in a timely fashion -- we were so happy with the bathrooms, we immediately scheduled McVey Home Improvement to remodel an unfinished attic space. Just like the bathrooms, we were pleased with the attic presentation, the price, and the entire project. The attic space turned out beautiful and this led us to schedule McVey Home Improvement soon after to remodel our kitchen. The McVey team again designed a kitchen that is beautiful and functional. Bottom line: The presentations reflected a true budget, deadline and fabulous design - all with a positive "can do" attitude! Would hire again!!”

“When we remodeled our kitchen in 2014 Amanda was the assistant to the designer. She was instrumental in helping me with design ideas and she was very knowledgable, making suggestions that I would not have considered. Amanda played a major role in the success of our project and she was our point person. Communication is profoundly important to me and Amanda never disappointed. She followed through on every detail and I always felt extremely supported by her. I would hire Amanda again without ANY reservations. She is a delight to work with and her professionalism was a blessing. From the beginning of the project it was obvious Amanda was committed and passionate about doing her job and doing it to the beat of her ability. It is two years later and my kitchen still thrills me and I remember everything Amanda did to make it all come together. In regard to warranty support; I needed a cabinet door replaced a few months back. Amanda, again, was diligent and followed through with the cabinet maker to obtain the door. Although the cabinet maker decided it was not warranty, Amanda worked with me and was able to provide a replacement door for me at no charge. Not that I would expect the free replacement but her willingness to provide stellar customer support long after the project was complete speaks volumes. I'm very thankful I was able to work with Amanda!”
