She has established herself with a great career path in all aspects of products for a home. She is very knowledgeable in all types of products from backsplash materials to window treatments, she has the experience. And she knows the sources, where to go to find what you like! The installation team is great, respectful, hardworking and all her family! This is the family to take your work to! If there is a problem, they brainstorm to bring your design together and keep you happy! I love my kitchen and the work they did! All her ideas and my desires came together once installed!”

“Talavera refinished a cabinet for me, 'remaking' it from an old, typically-found brown buffet, to a stunning distressed, off white cabinet that hints at the old brown wood beneath. With attention to keeping the vintage look and feel of the cabinet in place, they reinforced shelves only where needed, and straightened hardware just enough to make the doors solidly functional. The result is beautiful, and the buffet is an eye catcher in my kitchen. Talavera also carried the distressed idea up to my staircase landing by building a bookcase in their woodshop. They kept the comfortable feel of my home in mind when designing a piece that would bring warmth to the landing without overpowering the staircase or looking out of place. Of course it was distressed in a beautiful old-world green. Larry and his crew asked a lot of questions, and made a lot of suggestions, before, during, and after each of my above-mentioned projects to ensure that I loved what came into my home. The Progress Pictures meant a lot to me, and I appreciate that Larry worked with me to stay within my budget and pulled no 'surprise' upcharges. Though I am a person that always wants it 'yesterday', Talavera stayed right on the estimated time-to-complete, and even delivered a little early. Worked for me, and they will be hired again. (Last year they did a beautiful covered patio for my patio home, but that's another post for their remodeling abilities!).”

“I was in need of a bathroom remodel and had some ideas but I'm not very good at conveying my ideas to others or at envisioning the final results so I contracted with Total Design Homes. I love the ocean so I wanted some sort of beach feel to my bathroom tub area so I could relax and feel at back at home while living in the desert. Their team asked me quite a few questions about my ideas and somehow with the little information I provided them they designed and built me the bathroom that I have always wanted. Cynthia found this plank tile the has all the colors that I love and reminds me of the ocean with beach wood. I hope I get to add a picture on this review for everyone to see since I have a hard time explaining what my bathroom looks like. However, it's amazing and I love it! “From the time Mike Ambrose picked up the phone when I called William Jackson till the time I signed off and paid my final bill, he was respectful and thorough. I sat down in his office with his computer aided rendering of my space with a kitchen that would have made me jealous were it not my own! How did he do that? He knew the questions to ask! He and I had a conversation by phone and in person while he measured my kitchen and bathroom spaces. I hardly realized the conversation led him to the information he needed to design the perfect kitchen and bathroom for me. He saw flaws in my original kitchen that I had never noticed, and corrected them in the new plan. I made only two adjustments to the very first kitchen he planned. It was that perfect! Mike is a great listener, a great studier of space and lifestyle through each person he serves. He is meticulous with details and options. I learned so much from him during this project! When Bill Clerke, the owner and installer, came to "build" my kitchen space, he was quiet and clean. No loud radio or phone calls in my presence. He never called attention to himself, just put the kitchen together. He only interrupted me if he had a question--and that was seldom because Mike had taken care of so many of the details in the planning process that the construction went smoothly.
