“Talavera refinished a cabinet for me, 'remaking' it from an old, typically-found brown buffet, to a stunning distressed, off white cabinet that hints at the old brown wood beneath. With attention to keeping the vintage look and feel of the cabinet in place, they reinforced shelves only where needed, and straightened hardware just enough to make the doors solidly functional. The result is beautiful, and the buffet is an eye catcher in my kitchen. Talavera also carried the distressed idea up to my staircase landing by building a bookcase in their woodshop. They kept the comfortable feel of my home in mind when designing a piece that would bring warmth to the landing without overpowering the staircase or looking out of place. Of course it was distressed in a beautiful old-world green. Larry and his crew asked a lot of questions, and made a lot of suggestions, before, during, and after each of my above-mentioned projects to ensure that I loved what came into my home. The Progress Pictures meant a lot to me, and I appreciate that Larry worked with me to stay within my budget and pulled no 'surprise' upcharges. Though I am a person that always wants it 'yesterday', Talavera stayed right on the estimated time-to-complete, and even delivered a little early. Worked for me, and they will be hired again. (Last year they did a beautiful covered patio for my patio home, but that's another post for their remodeling abilities!).”

“I was in need of a bathroom remodel and had some ideas but I'm not very good at conveying my ideas to others or at envisioning the final results so I contracted with Total Design Homes. I love the ocean so I wanted some sort of beach feel to my bathroom tub area so I could relax and feel at back at home while living in the desert. Their team asked me quite a few questions about my ideas and somehow with the little information I provided them they designed and built me the bathroom that I have always wanted. Cynthia found this plank tile the has all the colors that I love and reminds me of the ocean with beach wood. I hope I get to add a picture on this review for everyone to see since I have a hard time explaining what my bathroom looks like. However, it's amazing and I love it! “I hired Luxe Showroom Ltd. for two sequential projects: a kitchen remodel and bathroom renovation. I can't say enough about how accomodating they were during both projects. If there was a need for a change or modification they made it happen. Nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen renovation included replacement of all cabinetry, granite countertops, sink, backsplash, and some appliances and electrical work. They came up with a way to creatively re-use some of the existing cabinets and counters as a craft/work bench in the basement, which required some challenging carpentry work. The bathroom renovation was a complete rip out and reinstall. The designer and craftsmen worked with my 16 year old daughter to come up with a modern yet functional design, with totally custom tilework and innovative lighting. They were totally flexible in allowing us to do as much or as little of the sourcing and work as we wanted. Any minor glitches were dealt with promptly and effectively and without controversy.Budget estimates were met, and adjusted fairly if changes were significant. Overall, I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for professional, reliable and creative design and construction services.”

“I was very nervous meeting with companies for this project, due to some bad experiences in the past. This kitchen project was a very emotional and passionate one for me that I've waited a lifetime to do. Originally I talked about doing something on a smaller scale, only because I was afraid to dream too big (even though I did have big dreams!) I met with Sara Ramos, and we immediately clicked. I could tell right away that she was forthright, honest, and really knew what she was doing. It was also obvious that she had the same kind of passion for doing this project as I did. From start to finish, the communication. Customer service, follow- through, attention to detail, skill and craftsmanship of every single person along the way....has been incredibly impressive. There isn't a single weak link in the chain. This company is a smaller, family owned business and that makes all the difference. Their level of experience, caring about their clients, and pride of workmanship really shines. Even the owner, Raul, came by several times. I NEVER felt like I was "dropped or forgotten". Let's face it, a kitchen remodel isn't easy to go through, but they work like a well-oiled machine. And as I saw the superior quality of everything as it went along, it was definitely worth the inconveniences. They did a specialty edge on all my granite, (3 full slabs worth) without any special routers...completely by hand. True artisans, and it is flawless! The precision on all the minute cutwork of the granite was mindblowing. The cabinetry is stunning and the dovetailed, soft-close drawers and doors are top notch! Everybody was conscientious about cleanup as they worked. (I'm actually going to miss having everybody around!) :) I would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody looking to do remodeling work, kitchen, bath, pantry, laundry, outdoor kitchen etc. They are connected with the best resources, are honest and upfront, NEVER any pressure or "hard-sell" tactics, and to top it off: EVERYONE has been incredibly friendly and such a joy to have here working on this project.
