I interviewed several home improvement companies in the northern Virginia area; none matched the knowledge of product information and costs of construction for completely renovating my kitchen. Architectural renditions were exact to specifications;no last-minute changes had to be made. Prior to the beginning of the renovation, costs and date of completion was discussed along with a time line dedicated to the selection of cabinets, floor, tiles, lighting fixtures etc. The crew assigned to my project were courteous, quick, clean and put materials away each day. “After consulting with three separate general contractors, we chose to work with the team at Advice Homes because they were able to relate to my wife and I unlike the other two contractors. From the first meeting Chris was friendly and did not give any high pressure sales approaches that we despise. We had a pretty good idea of what our vision was for our kitchen renovation. The design team took some pictures we gave them of various projects we found online and incorporated them into our own thoughts. We could not imagine that they could fit those ideas into a real life design the way they did. The construction of a kitchen is stressful if you like to cook daily. The laborers that worked on the kitchen were very mindful and understanding of our concerns for the continued use of our kitchen. Chris outlined days that we would be without the use of our stove, sink and prep area. This made it easy for us to plan. My wife found this easy and relieved her stress. Naturally this made me happy and I was thankful for the planning and heads up. The communication throughout the project was key to the overall success we felt with choosing this company. The overall project was finished in a reasonable time. There were some delays for a few furnishings but this was foreseen by Chris and we understood given the origin of the products. The quality was checked over in detail by the foreman and finally by Chris. To say that what was shown in drawings and renderings is an understatement. Everything came together and we were elated to have the finish product exactly what we desired.”

Their design gave us a great-looking kitchen, more storage, and more natural light. The project moved very smoothly and everything happened just as they said it would. Justin was our our project lead. He's completely reliable and a professional. Cabinets for our kitchen project were made by Schrock Cabinetry, tiles are from Best Tile.”

“I used Roger on my home renovation and was blown away by his attention to detail. He basically gutted the old kitchen, tore down a load bearing wall and started from scratch. We went with an open concept so as to have the kitchen and living area one big room. He sanded and stained all the floors, installed crown molding, scraped popcorn from the ceiling and painted. He then installed cabinets, counters and can lights throughout the home as well as installing my tile backsplash and under cabinet lighting. He even got creative and made me a secret bookcase door that leads to my attic(very cool!) I was so fortunate to have someone I felt comfortable with to pretty much handle all of this while I was at work. This could have been a very stressful project but Roger made it fun! Highly Recommend!!”
