“Very impressed with this store and staff! Their display is extensive and carries a wide range of prices and styles. We worked mainly with David Rapay who solved multiple lighting problems that came up during an overly ambitious renovation project. He sat with us in the store for hours to plan out recessed can trims, bulbs and filters - and then remembered each of the can locations and product decisions when questions came up later. He recommended specialized bulbs for wall fixtures with unusual locations and saved us money with less expensive specialized lighting options in other locations. Everyone in the store is friendly, competent and professional. This store was a real find, recommended by our contractor.”

“Eichen's Lighting is fabulous. A great find for the Bay Area, where I struggled to get good service and a good price. Not to name other stores, but the prominent lighting store in SF has repeatedly been rude and non communicative once I've placed an order, likely because I'm not a designer or have huge orders, but I'm a paying customer that deserves respect. Eichen's on the other hand in locally owned and you get the attention and help you deserve, no matter who you are. They have an amazing selection and their staff are super knowledgeable and will help you find exactly what you're looking for, even if they have to order it. The new showroom is gorgeous and helps bring ideas to life, which is important since Lighting is 3-dimensional and magazine/online doesn't do it justice. The best part is that they are open on the weekends, making it easy for me to shop and pick up deliveries while not taking time off work.”

“I first met Ernie and his crew when I was a building inspector for Laguna Niguel and they were doing a tenant improvement for a lighting showroom. I found out that they were also the owner and contractor. Not to long after that Ernie ask me to do a seminar for electricians on lighting controls that meet the Energy Commission requirements. I believe it was at the seminar that I got to know a lot about Coastal Moods and the construction projects they have done in So. Cal. Ernie and all his people are above all standards required by building departments, remember I can only enforce the minimum standards of the building codes. Ernie and his staff go well above minimum standards and it is always a pleasure inspecting their work. This kind of workmanship can only be found by top notch first class contractors.
I can count on 1 hand the number of HONEST contractors I've met in the field and these guys are number 1 in my book. I'm always ask if I know of a good contractor or electrician and I just give Ernie's name to them. I ran out of his cards along time ago so I give out his phone number.”

Vanessa is just wonderful -- super helpful, offered so many options and came up with ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. We did everything for my home, from custom lights for me, catalogue lights, to vintage lights. I wouldn’t have been able to do my project without her. She is super professional. I'd hire Omega Lighting Design again if I were building another house.”

“My wife and I were introduced to Nelson by a kitchen designer we hired. Nelson is in commercial lighting, having done a major airport, conversion of a large corporate headquarters to a hotel, among other very large projects. He happens to live in our town and it was convenient for him to help us with a residential project. Nelson looked at our kitchen plan and described what he had in mind. It sounded great! The next day I received a CAD lighting plan and all the spec sheets for the products he recommended. Nelson stopped by several times to check on things and ultimately to program the switching system. The electricians really enjoyed working with Nelson and they learned a great deal from him. The lighting in our kitchen is a highlight. The cost was reasonable for such a sophisticated plan. Nelson is a pro's pro, and it is clearly reflected in our kitchen. We were really fortunate to be able to work with him and we highly recommend him.”
