We stayed on budget and my kitchen is the centerpiece of the house and the perfect Italian girls kitchen I wanted. Start to finish, done in four weeks, with minimal disruption to my active family. “My wife and I lack the 'vision' needed to see the potential of an open space. A Google search led us to Pittsburgh Design and Remodeling, and we reached out to inquire about their basement design services. The design agreement consisted of an initial phone consultation, several 3D renderings (which were updated based on our feedback), and ultimately a neatly packaged pdf file with all of the information. Jeff (the owner) asked all the right questions to get the conversation started and paid close attention to our responses. He presented some interesting ideas that we otherwise would not have come up with. He is friendly, professional, and did exactly what we contracted him to do. We would highly recommend his design services. I should add that our agreement was for design services only. No actual work was performed on the basement so I cannot comment on that part of the business.”

“Marvista remodeled my 40 year old kitchen, replaced cabinets, counters, sinks, appliances, backsplash, and refinished the floor. Although the layout remained mostly the same, a few simple changes, designed by Marvista, created a cleaner line, more efficient use of space, and best of all, a designer look. I tend to get overwhelmed choosing designs and colors from the myriad options available. Marvista made all of that easy with their excellent guidance and good taste. The job took six weeks, the crew was professional, friendly, and pleasant to have in my home. I love my kitchen!”

“We used Action Builders for a two-story addition to our ranch home, adding a kitchen/great room, with two bedrooms, a bath and mud room on the lower level. They were very responsive and creative, making it possible for us to proceed with the addition without the benefit of an outside architect. Once they got started, they miraculously finished within one week of their estimated time frame. During the entire construction process, which included Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, there were only two or three days when the crew were not on the job site The addition is terrific and we are pleased to allow other potential clients to visit and see our finished product.”

“Connie answered our call and arrived the following week to meet us, learn of our plans for a kitchen makeover on our 1931 era Cape Cod home. With a rather small area and very little cabinetry, some drastic changes were needed to not only add more storage and nice work area, but also to update and bring the space and functionality up to current code compliance as well as improving the overall appearance. Any questions (and there were many) or changes we discussed, Connie was able to guide us through and provide reasonable and attractive solutions. Concerns with regards to cabinetry, construction or detailing costs were always addressed within 1 day. We had not less than 4 on site meetings before work began and once the demo began, she kept in touch with the contractor and stopped by frequently. This was the first time we have worked with a designer and were very pleased with the accuracy in measurements - the orders for cabinetry, crown molding countertops arrived on time and exactly as needed. Connie worked to find items, such as cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures and ceramic tile that suited our budget. We would heartily recommend this designer for any home improvement project.”

“I called Terry to rescue a remodeling project that had gone horribly wrong. Terry and his son Ryan were able to fix a terrible drywall installation, craft and install window, floor, and ceiling trim, and install a bamboo floor. To finish the job, Pat painted all of the trim and the wall repairs. The quality of their work is perfection and their performance is skillfully professional. Terry sized up my situation, provided excellent advice, and brought the project to completion quickly and reasonably. This family team showed up on time, covered my carpeting and stairs with drop cloths, built the window trim offsite to minimize dust, cleaned up at the end of every workday, and quietly got the job done. I am so impressed with the quality of their work that I requested a proposal to do another renovation project. Do not hesitate to give them a call.”
