“My wife and I lack the 'vision' needed to see the potential of an open space. A Google search led us to Pittsburgh Design and Remodeling, and we reached out to inquire about their basement design services. The design agreement consisted of an initial phone consultation, several 3D renderings (which were updated based on our feedback), and ultimately a neatly packaged pdf file with all of the information. Jeff (the owner) asked all the right questions to get the conversation started and paid close attention to our responses. He presented some interesting ideas that we otherwise would not have come up with. He is friendly, professional, and did exactly what we contracted him to do. We would highly recommend his design services. I should add that our agreement was for design services only. No actual work was performed on the basement so I cannot comment on that part of the business.”

I'm a designer and was very concerned about finding a contractor who would be as concerned about the details as I was and be willing to discuss options--they have absolutely been willing to do this. They've also been very understanding about our need to work within a budget and and more than willing to explore alternatives. And the sub-contractors that they work with have been equally as responsible and communicative. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will engage them for our next remodeling project!!”

“Connie answered our call and arrived the following week to meet us, learn of our plans for a kitchen makeover on our 1931 era Cape Cod home. With a rather small area and very little cabinetry, some drastic changes were needed to not only add more storage and nice work area, but also to update and bring the space and functionality up to current code compliance as well as improving the overall appearance. Any questions (and there were many) or changes we discussed, Connie was able to guide us through and provide reasonable and attractive solutions. Concerns with regards to cabinetry, construction or detailing costs were always addressed within 1 day. We had not less than 4 on site meetings before work began and once the demo began, she kept in touch with the contractor and stopped by frequently. This was the first time we have worked with a designer and were very pleased with the accuracy in measurements - the orders for cabinetry, crown molding countertops arrived on time and exactly as needed. Connie worked to find items, such as cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures and ceramic tile that suited our budget. We would heartily recommend this designer for any home improvement project.”

He was one of the only contractors that we had met that was on time for every single appointment we had and he was always well prepared. After discussion of our ideas, he completely understood our style and our needs. He sent us a quote by the next day. He always kept us updated with the timeline and was available to us when we had questions and/or concerns. The carpenters on the job were courteous and professional and were able to answer our questions along the way. They also were on time everyday and worked extremely hard to complete.
