“The project was the complete renovation of a 30 year old side-split bungalow, including removal of walls to create a modern open look in the kitchen and living areas, the addition of an attic beam to compensate for the wall removals, addition of modern hardwood flooring throughout, and ceramic tiling in entranceway, mudroom, and bathrooms, and complete renovation and update of the bathrooms. “We hired Gordon Weima Design Builder and his associated trades based on a recommendation from our architect. Mr. Weima served as the project manager. He was responsible to hire the trades, monitor their work and schedule, and oversee the construction budget. The project at hand was to build a modern addition to an existing century old house and modernized the interior of the existing house. The house is located in a heritate district of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The work was performed pursuant to the specifications as outlined in the plans provided by the architect. By the end of the project, the living space increased by 75 per cent. Mr. Weima and his trades did excellent work. Apart from a situation out of his control, the work was completed on time and within budget. He was able to schedule his trades to ensure that there would be no down time between the various phases of construction. This enabled us to plan for our move back into the house. We very much like the work that he and his trades did. His after service has also been very good. During the construction phase he took the time to point out some deficiencies that normally we would not have observed. Also, during the construction phase, he took the time to walk us through questions/concerns that we had and advised us how he would address the matter. Mr. Weima also kept the construction site clean and ensured that his trades did not encroach on the property of adjacent neighbours. We would welcome the opportunity to work with Mr. Weima in the future should we decide to undertake a similar project in the future. I would invite you to seriously consider Mr. Weima as part of your construction plans, whether it be to build an addition or new house. Mr. Weima will deliver you a quality product which I am certain you will not be deceived.”
