“I worked with Studio Hako for the fit out of my new salon space in Hackney Glasshouse Salon. Joel was incredibly professional and supportive throughout the process, as were all of his team members and contractors. I experienced great communication throughout the project and felt well guided when there were unexpected issues. “James and his team were incredibly professional throughout the project. The design ideas and the building work involved to “make them happen” were exemplary. The management and communication of expectations and price as we uncovered challenging issues with the cottage were also very clear and easy to understand from a layman perspective. With reference to COVID, the team were always very respectful of the necessary working practices and despite materials being somewhat scarce there were no delays to the completion of the project.”

“Fineva Construction came as a personal recommendation, and they did not disappoint. They built a kitchen extension and side return on our Victorian home in Beckenham. At the outset, they helped make all those tricky decisions I had no experience of, and looking back, we made all the right choices. All work was carried out within the 12 week schedule that was initially agreed and to the highest standards. As with any building work, there were small unforeseen issues that arose. But Pete Cook and his guys always had a solution ready and never tried to increase the cost because of them. The plans we had were always flexible, meaning that when our ideas evolved, they were always happy to incorporate them. They made useful suggestions on how to make improvements that we wouldn’t have thought of, such as adding soundproofing between the floors when the opportunity arose. The guys on site were all a pleasure to have around; courteous, polite and hard-working. As someone who works in the building industry, I was very impressed at every aspect of their work, and they are the top recommendation I have in my book of contacts!”

“We added an orangery to extend our existing kitchen to create a large open plan room for kitchen, dining and seating. We chose Westbury mainly because we wanted a bespoke solution, they clearly had lots of experience of what does (and doesn't) work and they came up with designs that we really liked which brought to life and greatly improved our own half-baked ideas! We used Westbury to do everything....design, planning permission, building works (foundations, knocking through etc), building the orangery, installing underfloor central heating (including most of the plumbing), lighting and other electrics, internal floor tiling and they made and installed various bespoke fittings to help integrate the 'old' and 'new' areas into a single living space. We found all the Westbury staff to be friendly and professional and importantly they kept us well informed throughout. Most have been with the company for years and are passionate about doing a good job. Any building work always comes with an element of disruption and the real test of any firm is how they deal with the unforeseen issues that inevitably crop up - we didn't have many, but all were sorted promptly and professionally. Overall the whole design and build experience was a pleasure and the end result has exceeded our expectations.”
