“We have the distinction of living in the first home Ben designed, and we’ve been in it for 10 years now. Faced with the thrilling prospect of being able to build a house, quickly collided with indecision; exciting possibilities vs. economics. Ben had the patience to design three totally different floor plans, and worked honestly with us through the realities of each design, keeping in mind our limited budget. We built on family land across the river from the house I grew up in, and could not be happier with the outcome. We absolutely owe it all to Ben for making our dream come true. “We worked with Better Builders to add an addition to our 100+ year old home. It was a unique project and Better Builders worked with us to determine a creative solution that seamlessly fits with the existing home. The COVID-19 pandemic hit mid-way through our project. BB was great at keeping us up-to-date with timing and making sure we were comfortable in the home while work was paused and could comfortably work from home when work continued. Highly recommended.”

“Thoroughly professional. Process was totally transparent from cost breakdowns and change orders, regular onsite meetings, spreadsheet showing timing of all aspects of the work. Finished on time as agreed. Always available for questions, problems or other issues. Came in on budget. All subcontractors were of excellent quality. Even after completion of the job, they have been helpful and responsive to us. They made a stressful process as stress-free as it could possibly be. We had complete confidence in their ability to give us a quality end product. We were extremely pleased.”

“First of all, Sheard Development completely saved us! We had started several months before they came on board with another contractor who let us down right after the foundation had been started.... Then we waited & waited for them to go onto the next stage which never happened. Basically the whole house was still unfinished and it sat for about 4 months before Sheard Development took over our project. They worked through many errors on the plans they inherited and the foundation that had already been started. I can’t say enough positive about this company, they made EVERYTHING right. They have integrity, the best work ethic, they put the customer first and love their imput. They completed our home in the most timely manner. I would recommend this company whole heartedly without hesitation!”
