At the recommendation of an interior designer Mr. Jason Wolfe was contracted to take this bare unit and turn it into a first class luxury apartment. I advised Mr. Wolfe as to my wishes/needs for the unit and to provide collection display suggestions for lighting, shelving, construction, and wall treatments. And at the same time incorporating our existing furniture and art work. Mr. Wolfe’s had unique suggestions for our Chinese antiques and the skill to construct two museum-quality display units. His construction ability coupled with a sense of design and a good eye, is impressive. In summary we were very pleased with the final product and recommend him without reservation.”

“RENOVATION STUDIO opened up our 50+ year-old, saggy, outmoded kitchen and adjoining family room, and transformed the space into exactly what we wanted: a welcoming and functional high-end kitchen that doesn't feel ostentatious. When were interviewing companies, RENOVATION STUDIO CEO ( Jodi Longo) seemed to "get" what we were envisioning for our space right away (we'd already chosen a focal point -- creamy/grey/white granite on island and perimeter countertops. So we needed a pro to give us some direction for the rest of the kitchen). What sold us on Jodi Longo (aside from her track-record in the DC- area) was her immeasurable patience, good humor, and wonderful eye for detail. After we signed, we knew we'd chosen well. Jodi orchestrated everything smoothly and efficiently. Work progressed quickly, but we never felt rushed. She and her team communicated well with each other, and with us. They were all in sync with Jodi and her top guy, David -- punctual and professional -- answering questions and calmly solving unexpected problems right away w/o missing a beat: Like their boss, RStudio crews are hardworking, good-natured, and experienced...excellent craftsmanship (example: her tile installers created an understated, beautiful wall of crackled subway tiles in kitchen. They also and took a once-hideous, white-washed stone fireplace, reframed it and turned it into a clean, elegant honed stone work of art that anchors one end of our family room. RStudio delivered on budget and on time( only minor delays due to a cabinet door manufacturing snafoo), and with zero drama!. We've worked with other renovation/design-build companies in the DC area. “The proof, as the Brits say, is in the pudding. As we sit in our new solarium, or entertain friends in our redesigned and expanded kitchen and dining room, we are very, very pleased with the finished product. Foxcraft was with us from the early idea stage through the final point on the punch-list. The team, led by Mike Blood, was responsive, imaginative and expert. It may have taken a little longer and cost a few bucks more, but in the end we got exactly what we had hoped for, a well-designed, beautiful, and highly functional new space. We love it. Beginning in March 2018, based on a design conceived by us, with the expert and thoughtful guidance of Jim Lynch and Foxcraft's experts, we doubled the size our small dining area, opened up our 1950's galley kitchen, and added an all-season solarium to the back of the house. The work crews were all great from digging the foundation and laying the slab, to framing and roofing, to the HVAC and electrical, and most especially the counters, cabinetry and the finish work. Paolo, the head carpenter and on-site supervisor, was very skilled in every aspect of the job as well as being a superb carpenter. Highest praise to Elmer the electrician and Mario the painter. The masons were also excellent. Whenever a problem arose, Mike informed us immediately, or responded quickly to our concerns, and he dealt with them. When the new split-system air conditioner leaked, Mike called the HVAC team who quickly found the problem, removed all piping, and rerouted the drainage. When the outdoor guttering was not quite what we wanted, the team re-did it without question. Jim took us shopping for doors, windows, countertops, and cabinets, and patiently explained the qualities of everything so we could make informed decisions. There were delays of course. Last year's record rains halted some of the early foundation and framing work, and some problems with ordering specialty countertops delayed the final installation of cabinets. Inevitable, for sure. We broke the budget, but that was our decision to make changes and additions as the project progressed. It was finished in August, and we have thoroughly enjoying our new expanded home ever since. We heartily and without hesitation recommend Foxcraft.”
