Budgets: We stayed within budget. The reason we gave Garrett and Misty (Relic Builders) a 5-star is not because of their work. Don't get me wrong, their professionalism, knowledge, and work quality deserves a 5-star alone, but it's the intangibles that's the most important deciding factor when choosing between different businesses who appear the same on paper. First, they are very nice, funny, and relatable which is a major plus when you're doing something as stressful and expensive as a home renovation. They were always patient, helpful with recommendations, and fully engaged in our project. They made you us feel like we were their only client, which wasn’t the case. Misty did little extra things to see my wife's interests and accompanied her to different stores to help with the decision-making process. And they made recommendations we didn’t consider to maximize the best look for our house within our budget. It was almost like we got 2 professions for the price of one - Contractors and 2. Interior Designers! If there was something we didn’t like (which wasn’t much), they would modify the issue without hesitation and any hint of annoyance. There were so many little details that made the biggest impression on us. I could go on and on, but that would take away the fun and positive experience from working with them, just like telling you all the great scenes in a movie would ruin it. So here's everything we got done that you may or may not see: engineered wood floors, granite countertops, new backsplash, new kitchen sink, and new carpet in the bedrooms, which looked the same as carpet on the stairs in the photo. FYI, we have a dog that ruined our carpet and made it look much worse.”
