“We own a 100+ year-old neo-classical home whose original interior is largely intact. We initially engaged Woodhill Cabinetry to design and manufacture cabinets for our kitchen, which was one of the few rooms in the house that we totally gutted in order to bring it up to modern-day standards. While we wanted a fully-functioning kitchen, we also wanted it to retain the period feel of the rest of the house and, in particular, we wanted to replicate the look of the original cabinets that were being replaced (stained, shaker-style birch cabinets). We were referred to Mary Jean Sweeney, the owner of Woodhill Cabinetry, by our contractor. From our initial consultation with her through the time of installation, we found her to be informed, creative and easy to work with. We had a number of persons who weighed in on the design of the kitchen and cabinetry (including an interior designer, our contractor and a restorative architect). Without question, the most valuable suggestions and insights came from Mary Jean. In addition, the fit and finish of the cabinets themselves was absolutely first rate. She produced exactly what we were looking for and for a very reasonable price. We were so happy with the work of her company that we subsequently engaged her to design and build 2 base cabinets for our master bath (the only other room in the house to be gutted and totally re-done). Again, her thoughts and suggestions were right on the mark and the cabinets themselves were exactly what we had hoped for. My exprience working with Woodhill Cabinetry could not have been more positive.”

“We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen and our contractor suggested Brakur custom cabinetry. We were able to get custom lighting in the cabinets and also ordered custom cabinets for the laundry room and mud room for a little over the price our contractor would've charged for the kitchen alone (not custom cabinets to fit our space either). Our cabinets are being installed now. They are beautiful! Can't wait until we are able to use them and move back into the kitchen. I almost rated Brakur four and a half stars (if that is possible) because some of the knobs on the doors are not level to each other. We are confident this can be fixed somehow by adjusting the doors and Brakur will be able to fix this without redrilling the knob holes. We are detail oriented people and if this can't be fixed it will drive us crazy every time we use the cabinets (since it is more than one). I am leaving the rating five stars because I am sure Brakur's service will be what we expect and this will be fixed. I would recommend Brakur to others and will most likely purchase cabinets from them for our bathroom remodel.”

She brings a wealth of experience and detail into the design concept of designing the kitchen and the lay out. Nancy knows exactly what works and what doesn't. “Definitely look at Tailored Living when planning out your next organizational job or garage improvements! They were very professional and totally customized the project to fit our design and budget needs, finished on-time and results were beyond what we expected. Not one single complaint, which is rare nowadays :-) We totally overhauled our garage with new cabinets, lighting, wall organization, tool drawers, work counter, and gorgeous fleck epoxy flooring - we have received quite a few compliments! We've used several other cabinet co's for prior projects (Closets by Design and ClosetOS) and I wish I had been aware of Tailored Living first - I felt the other 2 co's separated the communication from sales to install, so one was out for money and the other just wanted to fly through the project to the next so the finished look wasn't as promised. As a customer, I didn't feel as connected to or have as much control over the project as I did with TL. As with any project, have ideas ready - use Houzz/Pinterest/etc and find your inspiration room to help relay to the contractors what you want to do. James was extremely open to modifying our cabinet layouts until we found the best layout for the space and needs - Will definitely use again!”

“Nicole is a great designer and great person in general to work with. This is the second kitchen renovation we have had the pleasure of working with her on. She really knows whats what when it comes to designing which is great because when we started we didn't. She was timely and understanding in addressing our questions or concerns. She was very helpful when it came time to ordering and following up with vendors, and even showed up and waited for deliveries at our home when we couldn't be there. She made the whole process 100% stress free for us. Because of that we actually got to relax and have fun picking out light fixtures, hardware, and appliances.
